About the role
Under the management of the Site Supply Planning Manager, the Production Scheduler is responsible for the implementation of the plan developed by the OPR planners. The production scheduler works closely with the OPR planner as well as the operations department to adjust the schedule to the latest production status. Additionally, the Production Scheduler participates in key initiatives and projects to support continuous improvement.
Key responsibilities include
- Prepare the schedule for the frozen horizon for all Liquid and Solid Lines following the plan prepared by the OPR planners.
- Create the process orders according to the prepared schedule
- Ensure that the created production schedule respect the constraints related to positive release
- Prepare tank planning for the scheduling horizon and inform transport planning on when orders need to be loaded regarding tank utilization and capacity
- Coordinate & align with:
- factory on daily basis to share the plan and adapt based on their feedback
- RM call-off planners and adapt the schedule based on their feedback
- Master Planners in case major changes in the schedule are required
- Transport Planners and adapt the Liquid Schedule based on their feedback
- Customer Care agents in case customer wants to change the delivery in frozen horizon or in case of delays in production impacting the delivery to the customer
- Coordinate with quality colleagues to plan and execute reworks
- Lead & follow-up Adherence to Schedule KPI discussions
- Collaborate as Supply Chain representative in the assigned projects relating to the responsible plants or lines
- Actively contribute in the OTIF root cause analysis (investigate + define improvement actions)
- Owner of the locale planning parameter / master data settings (SKU rates, line efficiencies,...)
- Drive and steer adherence to schedule
- Actively participate & support SN-pillar within BCOS (Barry Callebaut Operating System): meetings, DMS/SWP-owner, KPI monitoring,...
- Actively join and contribute to the different meeting structures:
- morning meeting production
- morning meeting local planning
- connect OPR / scheduling and OPS
- weekly sign off plan W+1
- weekly technical / maintenance meetings to have a good view on the upcoming downtimes / technical works
- local OPRM
- Close dialogue with production on staffing requirements and PRIO settings within the scheduling horizon (which lines need to run, in case of break down where to allocate maintenance resources to… based on the order portfolio)
- Drive the daily sign off between scheduling and operations for the production schedule of D+1
About you
- Bachelor Degree, preferably within Business or Engineering
- Fluent in English and in one of the local language
- 2 to 3 years experience in supply planning
- Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
- Knowledge of supply chain management principles and practices, specifically the integrated supply planning process.
- Good understanding of the other supply planning processes focused on distribution requirements planning, raw materials planning, and scheduling
- Ability to learn new systems and processes quickly
- Previous experience with SAP, OMP and Business Objects
