About the role

The goal of the position is to improve the supply chain service & performance for Food Manufacturers. The Supply Chain Business Partner will act as the main conductor for Supply Chain within the FM community, he/she will increase visibility and communication and ultimately improve service levels at the lowest cost. The Supply Chain Business Partner will manage, capture and translate the FM demand signal into desired supply & service requirements - in close collaboration with local & regional commercial, R&D and Operations & Supply Chain (OSCO) stakeholders. The scope is predominantly West-Europe portfolio and customers and the role actively supports the development of E2E Supply Chain capabilities and solutions in the countries where needed. The Supply Chain Business Partner will be pivotal to help identify opportunities, implement key improvements and drive overall efficiency and effectiveness in the FM business segment.


This role will be based in Wieze ( Belgium) or Lodz ( Poland).


Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading the demand planning process for FM:
    • Understanding and capturing the FM business dynamics and translation into product forecasts.
    • Consolidation, validation and challenging of the demand with the sales community.
    • Facilitate the Demand ‘sign-off’ process and maintain a volume risks & opportunities outlook.
    • Improving forecast accuracy and forecast bias KPIs.
    • Collaboration on the YTG/YEF, budgeting and MTP process with Finance.
    • Participate in cross-regional handshakes where needed.
  • Coordinating the supply process for FM:
    • Actively contribute to the S&OP and S&OE discussions, whilst representing the regional FM demand & business objectives.
    • Collaborate with regional and local supply chain organization on formulating an optimal supply strategy for separate FM customer lines and product groups.
    • Consolidation of supply risks and early warnings for any supply disruption.
    • Identify improvement projects for FM supply chain and align them with key stakeholders.
    • Collaborate and drive implementation of supply chain standards and ways of working across Food Manufacturers.
  • Delivering of agreed customer service levels:
    • Meet and improve OTIF targets for FM.
    • Own regional FM service levels and actively discuss & represent performance at internal & external forums.
    • Own FM inventory health (incl obsolescence) via active stock policy management & review.

    • Support phase in phase out for key innovation and product launches.

    • Drive service improvements, balancing service & cost objectives.

    • Actively participate in country service reviews and RCA.

    • Participate in cross-regional handshakes where needed.

    • Define & design Route-2-Market strategies and supply chain solutions that improve customer intimacy and performance.

  • Contributing to the EMEA SC strategy development and be an active member of the EMEA SC leadership.
  • Leading and developing a team of FM demand planners and supply chain coordinators.

About you

  • High achiever academically within a Management and/or Engineering discipline, preferably with associated professional qualifications
  • At least 10 years of relevant Supply Chain experience in multinational organizations
  • Proven leadership experience, managing an end to end Supply Chain function, in a matrix organization, ideally within a demanding high volume Manufacturing, Distribution or B2B organization
  • Solid understanding of planning & Logistics processes within FMCG
  • Strong networking, stakeholder and influencing skills
  • Solid analytical skills with ability to dig into raw data and interpret them to larger audiences
  • Self-starter, entrepreneurial and able to manage complex analytical projects
  • Able to work in a matrix organization
  • Positive communicator, easily approachable for all levels in the organization, confident to work with senior leadership
  • Methodical and well organized
