About the role

The Senior Global Brand Manager leads & deploys the global brand strategy in key markets, establishes compelling segment activation & communication platforms, and lands the in-/renovation funnel with impact, in order to accelerate the brand growth across the globe. To this end, the role needs to collaborate intensively across functions and direct local marketing & sales teams to turn the strategy into action.

This job reports to the Global Group Brand director in the Global Gourmet team and is based in Belgium or France.

 

Key responsibilities include

  • Deliver the brand`s growth & profit targets. Report quarterly to senior leadership on brand performance.
  • Monitor and evaluate market trends, consumer behavior, and competitor activity to identify opportunities, and adjust brand plans.
  • Develop, lead and deploy the global brand strategy and the 3y marketing plan based on the Gourmet multibrand strategy, and create alignment and excitement up and down the organization.
  • Direct & support local X-functional teams to drive penetration and engagement in key markets.
  • Develop relationships with a global network of strategic customers (influencer chefs, ambassadors, distributors, key accounts) to involve them in global brand activation & innovation activities.
  • Reinvigorate the existing product portfolio and lead X-functional teams to deliver global innovation projects.
  • Build compelling segment communication and activation platforms, repeatable across markets. Collaborate with key markets for perfect execution.
  • Lead a customer oriented brand management team to facilitate market deployment, and develop project leadership & marketing capabilities in a digital world. Strictly manage budget.
  • Actively contribute to the team engagement and performance of the Global Gourmet team.
  • Represent the brand to customers, press and external parties based on a clear and consistent communication strategy.
  • The role will require substantial travel (+30%).

 

About you

  • Master degree in Economics, Business or equivalent.
  • Several business trainings in marketing, sales & leadership
  • Excellent communication skills: proficient in English. Fluency in other languages is a strong asset.
  • More than 10 years of experience across marketing/sales, incl international roles, preferably within F&B industry
  • Proven successes in brand identity and strategy work, and in driving equity through communication and activation
  • Experience in B2B channel/segment marketing and data driven marketing are strong assets
  • Fully operational in Project Management, Marketing Planning, Digital marketing, MS Office.
  • Proven successes in (collaboration with) Sales to land impactful activation
  • Experience with luxury and/or high personalisation marketing propositions is valuable
  • Personality traits that describe you are : team player, strive for excellence in execution and desire to challenge the status quo
