About the role

The R&D Product Experts Specialist executes the R&D Product Experts sub-department in-scope under the guidance of the R&D Product Experts Managers. The R&D Product Experts Specialist strives for product excellence ( with strong focus on fats) and drives continuous improvement for our products and services. Ensures that requests are being integrated into laboratory operations. Consolidates and shares in-depth knowledge within R&D. The R&D Product Experts Specialist gets guidance and support from the R&D Product Experts Managers on complex activities, ad hoc requests, and key issues in the execution of his duties.

 

Key responsibilities include

- Act as the heart of the R&D department by consolidating and sharing in depth product knowledge, gained internally or through customer interaction, with all of R&D and our customers.

- Lead technical product development and/or packaging proactively and ensure best in class product/packaging solutions as well as world-class product ranges.

- Ensure excellence in execution by ensuring a timely delivery and outstanding speed to market in collaboration with Customer R&D.

- Strive for product excellence, packaging & raw material knowledge.

- Liaise with other functional and operational area managers such as QA, sourcing and/or OSCO to understand their current and future product testing needs.

- Interact closely with Global R&D to ensure that Product Experts apply pushed innovation correctly.

- Develop plans, cost estimates and schedules for integrating the aforementioned needs into laboratory operations.

- Define requirements and specifications for new products, new raw materials and new packaging and evaluate all aspects going into a new product launch.

- Check and confirm feasibility of transfers by acting as the interface between the different sub-departments involved.

- Interact closely with R&D Technical Lifecycle Management to manage the product portfolio effectively and efficiently.

- Act as a sparring partner to Customer R&D by challenging customer requests.

- Ensure knowledge transfer beyond location and plant by leveraging the global network or R&D Product Experts.

- Lead local product development platforms.

- Act as internal knowledge champion and provide specific product, packaging and raw materials training.

- Maintain a good knowledge of regulatory requirements for your area of expertise.

 

About you

Master Degree in Science/Engineering or similar, preferably in a food science discipline

You have 2-3 years of experience in R&D Experience in Project Management

Proven track record in continuous improvement management

Good knowledge of working tools (MS Office, SAP,…)

Fluent Business English and in Russian
