About the role

This role is crucial to manage Food Safety and Quality during the execution of the Master Plan projects. As an expert in the BC Food Safety standards this role is a key player and the first point of contact in the design, follow up and release for QA of all works that will take place for the Master Plan projects. This expert will lead the site to be fully compliant with BC and industrial Food Safety standards.   

Key responsibilities include

         Be the first point of contact for QA for all projects related to the Master Plan of Wieze.

         Be an expert in the Food Safety standards so that all projects are executed according to the QA         

       expectations.

         Be part of these projects from the very beginning (design) till the final release of the project.

         Strictly follow the QA expectations and QA release of projects and motivate project leaders to ensure that

       QA expectations are met during projects.

         Be part of the project team and represent QA during project meetings.

         Train project leaders and contractors towards the GMP practices and Food Safety standards 

         Avoid food safety issues during projects to be present during crucial actions of projects.

         Identify gaps towards the standards and cooperate to have the site fully compliant towards all BC and

       industrial Food Safety standards

         Be able to communicate the project status and crucial actions within the plant and QA-team.

         Share best practices of projects with regional and global QA

         Develop the skills and  knowledge to be back up of the other QA leads:

o    Perform and/or coordinate root cause analysis of incidents, complaints or other repeated non-conformities in order to drive continuous improvement

o    Manage the hold & release process within the area of responsibility with or without support from the Food Safety Manager and/or Quality Assurance Manager and assure all documented evidence is foreseen

o    Manage, identify, coordinate and follow up of action plans related to QMS standards compliance and or non-conformities coming from incidents, complaints, audits or other quality related items

o    Perform trend analysis on the identified KPI’s to set priorities on QA related matters in order to drive compliance and continuous improvement in his/her area of responsibility

o    Lead the quality agenda during the different established meetings and projects following the Nemoto principle meetings and participate in GEMBA walks

o    Motivate, coach and support non-hierarchical subordinates and colleagues to ensure the overall performance on quality matters and achievement of the business goals and to embed the quality culture

o    Manage, within specific guidelines, specialized quality related projects (incl new machinery and/or adaptions to process and machine park) and ensure its results are integrated, validated for compliance with QMS standards and adding value to the overall business objectives

o    Ensure local compliance to corporate QMS systems (guidelines, procedures and SOP’s) and participate in internal (incl GMP) and external (with customers, certification bodies, authorities, …) audit programs as auditor and /or auditee

o    Ensure proper and well-structured operational documents and training, enabling QA and operations to respond quickly, with high quality and adequately to act and react correctly in terms of QA management and to customers

o    Cooperate with  the Food safety team of the own department to perform hazard control plan review, preparing verifications and trend analysis and assure updates are done and communicated when required

 

About you 

  •      Master education in a sciences education or equivalent by experience
  •      Minimum of 5-7 years in a Quality role in the food industry
  •     Project management skills
  •     HACCP, GSFI audit knowledge
  •     Root cause analysis techniques
  •     As a person you are a good communicator, a teamplayer, action and result driven with high standards
