About the role:

The Project Manager role will manage high priority/impact projects for our operations and supply chain (OSCO) across a broad range of topics providing support required by the project to sponsors, steering groups and teams, and ensuring that projects are delivered on time and within budget. This position will play a vital role in the success of business critical programs by driving best practice business change through effective governance, standards, assurance, tools and expertise. The role includes management of assigned projects with various stakeholders, owning the underlying process: meetings, workstream reviews, documentation, project planning, issue management (to ensure the deliverables are implemented to plan). The scope for the projects include capital investment, business re-engineering and process reconfiguration.

This position reports to the Regional Business Development Director OSCO. You will have multiple dotted line reports based on projects.


Responsibilities are:

Business case

  • Management of creation and validation of the Business case (supporting stakeholders in Finance, Sales, OSCO, Purchasing,…)
  • Maintains the project level Business Case understanding and ensures that Business Cases of related Projects are aligned.
  • Support preparation and approval process of Investment Proposals (IP’s).


Governance structure

  • Develop and maintain project Governance structure (stakeholder engagement & communication Plan). Lead the Project team meetings including Steering Groups, Work stream Leaders, regular Management team debriefs, etc. along with associated logistics (meeting invites and calendars, agenda in collaboration with key stakeholders, pre-reads and minutes)


Project budget & timelines

  • Maintains and monitors project budget and timelines to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Manage the Project Risk and Issue Management process. Ensures that there is a robust process for tracking and reporting risks and issues across projects and that risks and issues are communicated and managed appropriately.
  • Manage project interdependencies and external dependencies.
  • Report/escalate budget/timing variances to appropriate level and develop mitigating actions. 


Change management process

  • Supports organizational Change Management Process
  • Actively participates in relevant processes (with HR, Unions, plant management,…) to drive the required change.
  • Develop Cross-functional approach to projects, involving other business area’s (R&D, Sales, QA, Purchasing,…)


Change control

  • Implements a robust Change Control process including documentation and workflow approvals. Documents clear accountability at the project level for decision-making and approvals in a defined Stage Gates process.


Best practices

  • Implements and manages a project management Best practices across the business, ensuring relevant issue identifications, reporting processes, and dashboard status updates.
  • Implements a robust Knowledge Management process. Designs and implements a lean and effective process and tool for sharing program knowledge and documents with the appropriate stakeholders.
  • Implements a robust Quality Management and Assurance process.
  • Helps develop improved project management skills across project teams through consultancy, assurance, training and intervention


About you:

  • University degree in Engineering, Commercial Engineer or Applied Economics, Masters preferred
  • About 5 years of experience of which significant no. of years in (Project) Management
  • Prior experience of working in a multinational, matrixed environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Project, Excel, Powerpoint, Visio etc
  • Business Change Management
  • Stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Knowledge or specific business understanding
  • Technical skills & understanding of the core BC production processes
  • Basic accounting & budgeting skills
  • Project Management
