About the Role

 

 

 

The Market Segment Development Manager Ice Cream EMEA is responsible for the creation & implementation of segment growth strategy across different product categories in the Ice Cream in EMEA.  The leading expert on market, consumer and customer trends in the segment for the Region, the Market Segment Development Manager Ice Cream EMEA will identify key growth drivers, develop winning solutions to drive growth & differentiation for BC and its customers and develop partnerships with key players in the market segment.

 

 

Key Responsibilities include:

 

  • Creates and drives implementation of Market segment strategy driven by deep consumer, market and customer understanding
  • Owns segment growth plan: target customers, geographies, winning segment portfolio

  • Develops relationships with key segment customers, owns co-creation journey for these customers, fuels innovation pipeline with key customers. 

  • Develops comprehensive & in-depth understanding of the market segment (supported by CMI team):  consumers, customers, competition, trade environment, data, trends & applications. 

  • Translates Segment insights into appealing concepts and solutions.

  • Creates Innovation & activation Roadmap for the Market Segment 

  • Creates segment innovation, winning portfolio and activation toolkits and regularly trains Sales, customer R&D and Local Marketing teams (eg via Segment Academy)

  • Builds and leads cross functional (customer and product expert R&D, sales) Segment expertise community to fuel Market Segment Development Strategy with actionable insights to unlock new segment opportunities

 

 

About You

 

  • You have a Master's degree in Economics/Business/Food Engineering
  • You bring 7y+ of experience in Marketing, R&D, NPD in B2C or Private Label in Foods.

  • You have strong Segment insight (market, consumer, customer, retail) is a must.

  • You are fully proficient in English . Any other European language is a plus.

  • You are able to travel across WE, 25% of the time

  • 2-3 days a week in Wieze or another WE office (Cologne (DE), Banbury (UK), Meulan (FR), Milan (IT)) to connect with the team (marketing, sales, R&D).
