About the role:

The Manager, Project Engineering manages all aspects of a local multidisciplinary project (Greenfields, Bronfields, setting up new production lines...), from start-to-finish, so that they are completed on time and within budget. Manages the team of internal and contracted individuals in the execution of the project. This role is responsible for managing their part of the Operations capital budget.


Key responsibilities:

- Design, communicate, and implement an operational plan for completing a project; monitor progress and performance against the project plan; resolve operational problems, minimize delays. Identify, develop, and gather necessary resources to complete the project.

- Prepare designs and work specifications; develop schedules, budgets and forecasts; select materials, equipment, project staff, and contractors.

- Apply technical standards according the business strategy

- Prepare tender for all scopes of work and collaborate with Technical Sourcing for purchasing equipment and services, analyze quotations in order to decide the purchase of equipment & services. Make appropriate recommendation for both technical and cost

- Deals with documentation and import of equipment

- Monitor activities, allocate resources, and assign tasks to ensure targets are met.

- Liaise with other areas in the organization to secure specialized resources and contributions for the project. (QA, Health & Safety, Operations, Maintenance).


About you

  • Bachelor / Master Degree in Engineering or similar
  • 3+ years working experience in a manufacturing/process environment (e.g. chemistry, food, pharma, brewery..)
  • 3+ years experience in managing investment projects (around 5-10 million euros)
  • Thorough mechanical knowledge (e.g. production machinery)
  • Technical skills to understand all core processes
  • Certification in Project Management
  • Knowledgeable in MS Office Suite
  • English - advanced level
  • Willing to travel 50% of the timeIerested?
