About the role

Barry Callebaut is a growth company and Benelux is an important contributor to the results of Western Europe. In this role you are responsible for a portfolio of customers with a total turnover between 50 and 70 million Euro. You define the vision and strategy to be successful in serving these key account customers. We are looking for a trustworthy entrepreneur who is strong in relationship building and analytical

In this key position you will report to Sales Manager Benelux.


Key responsibilities include

- You are passionate about chocolate & our quality ingredients. This passion makes that you aim to create value for our customers and for Barry Callebaut

- In a business to business context you will interact with confectionery, bakery, dairy, ice cream customers

- You achieve volume and margin budgets with your key account customer portfolio

- You keep an overall perspective of the business and interact with your colleagues across departments to understand the bigger dynamic and trends of the market.

- As a person you are analytical and eager to capture threats and potential opportunities

- You report trends and activities you pick up in the marketplace

- You are experienced in making key account plans to prioritize your actions and set goals

- You act like the CEO of your portfolio, treating your customer base as if it was your own company

- You contribute to forecast meetings and you organize yourself to do a good follow up of opportunities and R&D projects.

- You act as the ‘customers’ voice within BC to ensure customer satisfaction and continuity of trading relationships, whilst ensuring the interests of Barry Callebaut

- You continuously look for ways to increase efficiency for yourself, your colleagues and BC


About you

You obtained a Master Degree, a Technical background is a plus

You gained at least 5 years of working experience within a food or manufacturing environment in a sales role - preferrably in FMCG

As a person you are a teamplayer with excellent stakeholdermanagement skills

You are proficient with Salesforce 

Fluency in English is a must
