About the job


Responsible for the delivery of volumes and profit in specified Key Chain Horeca Accounts. Reporting to the  Sales Director

  • To participate with Senior Management Team in creation of strategy, volume and profit targets for collective and specified accounts
  • To take full responsibility for delivery of performance of  named accounts
  • To work closely with Academy in the provision of the necessary support to maximize innovation and range extension with the end user accounts


Key responsibilities include


  • Responsible for the delivery of  Key Account Strategies with specific ongoing plans to include Product Introduction, Sales Targets, Range Selection, Account Advertising and communication, Samples, and New Product Development,
  • Product Range to include Beverages, Gourmet and Specialty and Decoration.
  • Collection and analysis of information, and provision of conclusions from market trends, key account strategies, sales figures and other account information
  • Management of specific Trade Marketing tools from conception through execution to delivery and evaluation of the effectiveness of activity
  • Ensure Pricing used via Price list or Contracts ensure sustainable long term business relationships with both parties
  • Based on information and knowledge make recommendations where appropriate to central marketing- new products, ranges, tools etc
  • Monitor and control relevant budget spend made on behalf of accounts
  • Develop and enrich close contact with key personnel beyond simply buyers to include Senior Management, Marketing, Product Development, Strategy and logistics.
  • Ensure communication with necessary Distributor and or alternative supply contacts (Both Internally and Externally) are maintained to ensure seamless logistic supply of our products
  • Manage the Academy link to provide innovative application solutions for directed to build volumes and profit.
  • General Account Management- Pricing, Logistics, Complaints, New Product forms, Reporting etc.

  • Understanding of variety accounts and their potentialities for growth
  • Understanding the needs and demands of Accounts and how to maximize opportunities
  • Good Feel and a Basic understanding for Barry Callebaut products, roles and capacities- Key and relevant Beverage, Specialty, Decoration and Gourmet ranges
  • Basic understanding of use of Chocolate Beverages, Chocolate and Specialty and Decoration in accounts- Understanding of Barista role
  • Commercial Flair- seeing new opportunities, approaching things differently
  • Communication, People, Management and Presentation Skills
  • Energy and Determination
  • Acceptance of central importance of budget realization and personal responsibility for delivery
