About the role
We are looking for a motivated and eager-to-learn HSE Coordinator to join our team of five HSE professionals. Reporting directly to the HSE Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations while fostering a strong safety culture across the organization. Key responsibilities include
Health & Safety Compliance:
- Support the implementation and continuous improvement of HSE policies and procedures.
- Conduct workplace inspections, audits, and risk assessments, ensuring compliance with legal and company safety standards.
- Assist in incident investigations, perform root cause analyses, and propose preventive measures.
- Collaborate with different departments to enhance workplace safety.
Training & Awareness:
- Organize and deliver HSE training sessions for employees and contractors.
- Promote a proactive safety culture through awareness campaigns, toolbox talks, and best practice sharing.
- Keep employees informed on safety regulations and updates.
Environmental Management:
- Monitor environmental performance and support sustainability initiatives.
- Assist in compliance with environmental laws and reporting requirements.
- Contribute to waste management, energy efficiency, and emissions reduction programs.
Documentation & Reporting:
- Maintain and update HSE records, including incident reports, audits, training logs, and compliance documentation.
- Assist in preparing reports for internal stakeholders and regulatory authorities.
- Support the HSE Manager in developing and updating safety procedures and policies.
About you
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Health and Safety degree level 1
- Environmental degree A or B
- 2-5 years of experience in an HSE role, preferably in a manufacturing, construction, or industrial setting.
- Strong knowledge of HSE regulations, risk assessments, and incident investigation.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as within a team of HSE professionals.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and HSE reporting tools.
- Proactive Problem-Solving: Identifies risks before they become issues and takes initiative to implement solutions.
