About the Role

 

As a Global Chocolate S&OP Manager, you will develop and drive the Global S&OP process for Chocolate & set the standards for S&OP and S&OE, work together with the regional Global Chocolate Planning Managers and Regional Supply Chain Directors, assess the quality of the S&OP and S&OE planning activities so we adhere to the global standard. You will work closely with the regions, and the COE’s for Supply and Demand planning and develop the reporting and dashboards needed to support the S&OP and S&OE processes. You are accountable for bringing the vision and developing the roadmap to reach a global standard for S&OP and S&OE together with the regions.  The Regional Supply Chain Directors and Supply Planning managers will execute the S&OP process in the regions.

You will connect the Regional Chocolate and Cocoa S&OP’s through the Global S&OP process and follow up with the regions on the implementation of the decisions made in the Global S&OP.  Through the Global S&OP process, you identify opportunities to balance demand and supply on a global level through global supply flows.

You will drive the bi-weekly Global S&OE and manage the fair allocation of production volumes to the regions.

You will work closely with your colleagues in the Supply and Demand COE’s, the Global Chocolate Planning teams, the Global Cocoa Planning team, the CSD Strategy Organization, and the IM/IT organization.

 

Key Responsibilities Include

 

S&OP and S&OE Standard, you will:

  • Develop Global S&OP and S&OE planning standards, tools, and solutions and steer implementation within regions.
  • Align with the regions and drive overall S&OP and S&OE planning Excellence & Continuous Improvement Roadmap
  • Define a Change Management strategy that creates stakeholders' and team’s commitment and support across the journey.  Support the Regional Supply Chain to embrace and deliver the change, and organize training where relevant.
  • Seek for external perspectives, trends, and benchmarks, and bring innovation to the organization. Act as an internal consultant supporting Regions with major initiatives. 
  • Detail out processes, roles, and responsibilities, organizational set up: local – regional – global.
  • Partner up together with COE’s for Supply and Demand Planning, IM/IT to reach your objectives.
  • Create a communication plan.  Follow up with Global and Regional Supply Chain leadership on progress made within the regions.

 

Global S&OP and S&OE execution, you will

 

  • Lead global Supply Chain reporting & analytics. Provide the necessary reports and dashboards needed to run a smooth and efficient S&OP and S&OE cycle.
  • Connect the Regional Chocolate S&OP’s to the Global S&OP and support global supply & demand balancing solutions.
  • Follow up on the global inventory strategy for chocolate in the regions.
  • Work together with the Global Cocoa Planning organization to prepare for the monthly Global S&OP. Bring visibility on consolidated demand, supply, capacities, and stocks for senior management.
  • Communicate and coordinate the output of global S&OP elements and ensure decisions are integrated into the Regional S&OP processes.
  • Prepare for and host the bi-weekly S&OE meeting and ensure fair allocation of production volumes to the regions. Create a clear communication strategy on supply issues and resolutions.
  • Support role out or implementation for specific global S&OP topics (e.g. innovation products, global marketing strategies)

 

About You

 

  • Degree in engineering, business administration, supply chain, economics or finance
  • Knowing how best in class looks like, hands-on to make it happen.
  • 10+ years of relevant experience in S&OP and S&OE planning in a multinational environment
  • English
  • Travel requirements: Monthly regional/global
  • You will have 3 direct reports supporting you.  As a line manager, you will be accountable for the delivery of SMART objectives and bring a succession plan to ensure continuity on the longer term
