About the role:

The objective of the function is focused on contributing to On Time In Full delivery of innovation projects from idea or concept until ready for market launch. The Global R&D Product Solutions Project Manager participates in one or more technical work streams in projects with moderate strategic importance, and assists his/her line manager in activities of high strategic importance. He/She is responsible for the execution of the technical tasks including literature searches, setting up and evaluating pilot trials, feasibility testings and laboratory analysis. He/She uses appropriate evaluation methods and study designs to demonstrate ingredient, material or process benefits. He/she executes prototype creations and formulations with benchmark evaluations and translates test results into functional specifications. He/She aligns on test protocols and reports on results to the line manager and defines next development steps with the project team.

The Global R&D Project Manager takes the responsibility to regularly monitor compliance in the execution of the project managers’ duties.

Responsibilities include: 

  • Responsible for day to day execution of research activities on desk, in pilot or lab environment or at external development partners such as suppliers, knowledge centers, test center, co-manufacturers including the organisation of supply and following the administrative procedures to submit these requests.
  • Substantiate studies with sound analytical data using appropriate evaluation methods, Manage contact with internal/external labs.
  • Initiate, design and direct Global R&D projects in line with the business strategy and objectives. Collaborate within a cross functional team to ensure alignment of projects scope to maximize the potential of the projects. 
  • Ensure that knowledge and know-how from the product solutions projects is continuously updated and shared with the line manager through reporting and efficient communication.
  • Support intellectual property strategies by delivering analytical and technical data.

About you:

  • Bachelor or Master Degree in Science or Engineering discipline, preferably with some experience in Food Industry
  • Good project management skills;
  • Flexible, stress resistant and good problem solving skills;
  • Knowledgeable in MS office & Project management tools, software, SAP is a plus;
  • Fluent in Business English + any other language
