About the role

Due to recent changes in the Finance team within the Operations and Supply Chain department (OSCO) we are looking for an enthusiastic Finance Business Partner OSCO to join the team in Halle.

 

Key responsibilities include

The Finance BP OSCO acts as the “financial eyes” in the plant for both the local plant management team and the regional OSCO and Finance organization. The Finance BP OSCO is accountable and fully responsible for analyzing and ensuring the accuracy of the local financial results versus targets for operational (in)efficiencies, material usage variances, direct and indirect factory costs, etc.

As a business partner to the Plant Manager and the management team, the Finance BP OSCO has to

  • drive change
  • continuously recommend scenarios to increase efficiency or avoid inefficiencies
  • be solutions oriented and materially contribute to the achievement of the business goals and targets of the plant. In this respect, it is absolutely needed to have a deep conceptual knowledge of operational flows to detect in an early stage potential margin/performance leakage and improve productivity and drive efficiencies.
  • create investment proposals and liase with various stakeholders to ensure all relevant information and data are included before submitting it for approval. 

  • manage the CAPEX budget and ensure investment proposals are raised timely throughout the year.

  • support new or renewed contract negotiations (eg, energy).

  • act as a gate keeper of internal controls -  The Finace Business Partner OSCO has a complete understanding of how the production process should be registered in SAP & address registration issues to production management in case procedures are not followed correctly (e.g. Imbalances in production orders, stock take inaccuracies, etc.).

  • ensures together with supply chain management that the stock take is done frequently (by preference on a monthly basis) & that the stock corrections are registered in a correct & completely explained matter.

 

 

About you

  • You obtained a Master in Finance, Accounting, Economics or similar. A Master degree in Business Administration is preferred.
  • You have minimum 5 years’ experience in Finance (Controlling/Accounting) or Operational/process engineering.
  • The professional we are looking for has a good knowledge of controlling and financial methodologies and reporting.
  • You are fluent in English ( both written and spoken).
  • We are looking for a candidate with experience in a multinational company, preferably in B2B / food industries
  • As a person you are analytical, flexible, solutions-oriented with a hands-on mentality.
  • You have good leadership and change management skills.
  • The Finance Business Partner we are looking for keeps an eye on process improvement.
