About the Role

 

Barry Callebaut Digital (BC Digital) is on a mission to lead the digital revolution in the chocolate industry, and we're looking for a Expert Solution Architect Global Security to guide this transformative journey. This new role is a cornerstone of our digital strategy, aimed at transforming our digital capabilities in a secure and compliant manner to position Barry Callebaut as a digital-first leader in the market. Reporting directly to the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO), you will have the unique opportunity to shape our digital future by providing oversight and guidance and shaping our Information Security technology landscape.

Key Responsibilities Include

 

The candidate will:

  • Develop and design the overall security architecture strategy, ensuring alignment with BC’s digital strategy, IT applications and infrastructure and overall business objectives in close collaboration with the Enterprise Architecture Team.
  • Design and oversee implementation of robust security solutions that address current and emerging threats, ensuring the protection of BC’s IT infrastructure
  • Evaluate, select, and implement advanced security technologies and tools to ensure that security technologies are effectively integrated into BC’s internal and external applications and align with the overall IT architecture
  • Provide technical guidance and expertise during the implementation of security projects and initiatives
  • Develop and enforce security standards, guidelines, and best practices across the Information Security unit and BC overall
  • Oversee and advise on regular assessments and audits to ensure compliance and identify areas for improvement
  • Lead the integration of security solutions into BC’s IT environment and work closely with other IT units and business functions to ensure that security controls are effectively implemented and maintained
  • Provide architectural oversight and guidance on security matters to ensure consistent implementation of security practices
  • Act as a technical leader and subject matter expert in security architecture, providing guidance and mentorship to other security and IT professionals
  • Foster a collaborative environment with other digital teams (e.g. application management, technology services) to ensure a compliant IT landscape

 

About You

 

  • Graduate degree in IT/technology, information technology, computer science, network technology, engineering, or a comparable field
  • Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in security architecture or a related field, with a focus on global security solutions
  • Experience in the consumer goods industry is a plus
  • Extensive knowledge of security frameworks, standards, and best practices (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST, CIS)
  • Proven experience with designing and implementing complex security solutions in a global environment
  • Strong understanding of risk management principles and practices
  • Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, TOGAF, or equivalent are highly desirable
  • The ability to bring people together and mobilize individuals to pursue a joint agenda
  • Ability to drive change in a collaborative way on a global scale
  • Independent and self-driven personality
  • Excellent communication skills to create internal and external partnerships/networks across the organization with the ability to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels
  • Proficient in English
