About the Role
As Customer Supply Chain Director Western Europe, you will lead end-to-end customer supply chain performance across Western European (WE) clusters, ensuring best-in-class service delivery, operational excellence, and sustainable cost leadership. Reporting into the Regional Supply Chain Europe Vice President, you will partner closely with Demand Planning, Supply Planning, Logistics, Customer Service, and commercial teams to align supply chain execution with business strategy. You will drive a customer-centric approach while optimizing performance across a complex, multicultural, and matrixed environment.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Define and deploy Customer Supply Chain strategy for WE, aligning with regional objectives and ensuring execution across WE clusters
- Build the 18‑months demand plan in close collaboration with WE sales Team, driving forecast accuracy and leading risk & opportunity discussions
- Actively support demand validation and sign-off process
- Represent WE in S&OP/S&OE forums, driving demand-supply alignment and supporting allocation decisions
- Build, run and deliver yearly savings initiatives for WE
- Actively support Regional logistics Team in optimizing logistic Footprint in WE
- Pilot transport and warehousing tenders in close collaboration with Regional Europe Logistic Teams, global transport COE’s and Procurement team
- Ensure Cluster Supply Chain teams monitor closely 3PL performance (carriers & warehouses) and implement all relevant corrective actions to maintain service quality and logistics spends on target
- Foster a strong customer-centric approach, ensuring excellent service levels, SLA adherence, and proactive issue resolution
- Monitor Supply Chain performance driving corrective actions and continuous improvement
- Drive rollout and adoption of Global / European tools, systems, and supply chain excellence programs
- Lead, develop, and align Western European Customer Supply chain teams, driving performance, collaboration, and a continuous improvement mindset
About You
- Master’s degree in engineering, economics, or business administration
- 20+ years of professional experience, including 15+ years in supply chain roles
- Proven track record in leading end-to-end supply chain functions within large FMCG or B2B environments
- Strong experience in complex, multicultural, matrix organizations
- Strategic thinker with the ability to connect end-to-end processes and translate strategy into execution
- Strong leadership presence, able to engage and influence senior stakeholders
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Customer-centric mindset with strong commercial acumen
- Analytical and data-driven, with the ability to simplify complexity
- Agile, resilient, and continuous improvement oriented
- Collaborative team player with a strong sense of ownership and accountability
