About the role
The Center of Excellence (COE) Supply Planning manager drives improvement and transformation projects within the Supply Chain with regards supply planning and inventory strategy, guides and support regional implementation. He/she sets up SC standards, governance, policies to improve Supply Chain maturity and performance E2E and across the regions.
This role is a key in the success of setting a global standard in terms of Inventory Management that is in line with the strategy of the company in terms of working capital and service level we want to provide to our customers.
Key responsibilities include
For Supply Planning Standard, you will:
- Support to define Change Management strategy that creates stakeholders and team’s commitment and support across the journey. Support the Regional SC Directors to embrace and deliver the change, organize trainings where relevant.
- Define success criteria, transformation controls and communication plan.
- Detail out “Fit for Future” design and business case; scope, processes, roles and responsibilities, organizational set up: local vs regional vs global, Global Supply Chain vs SSC, size, technology required. You will partner up together with IM/IT and Procurement (e.g. sourcing of new technology) and steer their contribution and set up for end-2-end success.
- Manage supply planning projects independently (supported by managers), demonstrating ownership from initiation to completion.
- Proactively seeks guidance when needed, while maintaining accountability for deliverables and outcomes.
- Develop Inventory strategies that are aligned with the company’s goals in terms of service and working capital
- Develop a global standard for calculating Inventory Parameters and set up a process to review frequently
- Bring visibility towards the business in terms of Stock health and develop the right processes to take action to improve
- Define KPIs, tools, processes and steer implementation within regions.
- Coordinate with IM/ MD to ensure that process solutions are supported by the right tools and data sets
- Define success criteria, transformation controls and communication plan. Follow up with Sr Director Global Planning Chocolate/COE Supply Planning on progress made within the regions.
- Seek for external perspectives, trends, benchmarks, and bring innovation to the organization. Act as internal consultant supporting Regions by major initiatives.
- Support other COE Supply Planning initiatives where possible based on priorities of the company strategic goals
For Inventory Strategy Train the regions, you will
- Build training & communication plan in alignment with key stakeholders and follow up on the transformation led by the Regional SC directors and their teams.
- Roll out the global training plan, together with the Global SC Directors
- Set up a Power User community to support the adaption in the regions and create accountability
- Share progress with key stakeholders Regional SCD, Global Planning Managers, Regional Inventory Managers, Regional Presidents & other relevant stakeholders like Operations)
About you
- 5 years of experience in a Supply Chain / Operations managements function
- Bachelor or master degree in business administration, economics or similar
- Preferably APIC CPIM certified
- Strong communication & presentation skills
- Ability to lead and manage change in a complex environment
- Proficient in English
- Strong understanding of the end to end supply chain process.
- Experience with Inventory Management
- Experience in supply chain (continuous) improvement process
