About the role

The Commercial Analyst is a key role in EMEA and collaborates with Sales Directors & Finance Business Partner by providing in-depth financial analyses for the purpose of strategic and tactical decision-making. The Commercial Analyst demonstrates a sound understanding of business performance drivers and has the ability to derive tangible actions out of it.


Key responsibilities include

As an overview, the Commercial Analyst is responsible for:

  • Margin Management:
  • Driving volume and pre-calculated margins together with the commercial teams
  • Monitor contract portfolio
  • Analyse margin forecast and identify actions with the commercial teams to achieve budget
  • Cycle activities
  • Providing input to Regional FP&A for budget and MTP (Mid-Term Plan) on all volume/margin topics after alignment with commercial peers
  • Steer & support the customer segmentation process for price-setting
  • Data management
  • Acting as point of contact for volume/margin related questions
  • Ensure the right process to have data availability for all the stakeholders
  • Participate in projects to further improve the way of working related to Margin&Volume activities


About you

  •  Master’s in Finance, Accounting, Economics or similar
  • English business proficiency (written and spoken), other EU languages are a plus
  • Analytical experience in Finance/Pricing/... where there is  a connection with commercial teams & numbers
  • Knowedge in Excel is required
  • Experience in a B2B company
  • Not mandatory but considered as a plus: knowledge in SAC (SAP Cloud Analytics) or similar BI tools
  • It's required to have a strong business focus/interest, the ablilty to translate analysis into tangible actions
  • together with  good stakeholder management and a structured mindset of working
