We are looking for a detail‑oriented and proactive Test and Quality Coordinator to join our Quality team at BC Sweden Foods. In this role, you will ensure that our products meet all technical specifications, regulatory requirements, and internal quality standards. You will work hands‑on in the laboratory, support production with quality‑related issues, and contribute to continuous improvement across the organization.
Responsibilities

Perform microbiological, analytical, and sensory tests according to methods and frequencies defined in SAP, and record results in the system.

Conduct additional analyses outside the business system (e.g., swab tests, air monitoring).

Send samples for external analysis, manage orders, and enter results into the local business system.

Participate in corporate ring tests.

Release raw materials, semi‑finished goods, and finished products according to established criteria.

Make decisions regarding product rejection or rework based on routines and results.

Monitor raw material shelf life, extend according to routine, and communicate when materials must be discarded.

Register quality deviations and support the progress of deviations within your responsibility area.

Participate in audits when required.

Initiate or contribute to quality‑related improvement projects.

Support production in resolving quality‑related issues.

Contribute to RCA (Root Cause Analysis) investigations.

Maintain laboratory inventory and ensure timely ordering of consumables.

Ensure laboratory routines comply with BC global standards, are updated, and implemented.

Implement, maintain, and improve the sensory program according to BC standards.

Maintain and develop competence in SAP, QDS, and other relevant systems.

Contribute to updating training materials and support onboarding of new laboratory staff.

Approve or reject products based on laboratory results.

Stop incorrect or non‑compliant activities (e.g., production, purchasing, test runs, deliveries, recipes).

Manage quality deviations within mandate and escalate issues when necessary.
Experience & Qualifications

Post‑secondary education in chemistry, biology, food science, or a related field.

Minimum 2 years of experience in quality control within the food industry, pharmaceutical industry, or similar.

Advantageous knowledge of HACCP, FSSC 22000/GFSI, GMP, Environmental Monitoring Programs, and hygienic design.

Fluent in Swedish and English, both written and spoken.

Strong business understanding.

Solid knowledge of SAP, QDS, and relevant operational systems.

Proactive, positive, and open to new ideas.

Reporting Line
This position reports to the QA Manager. Laboratory Technicians provide mutual coverage during absences.
