We are currently looking for Demand & Planning Manager who will be responsible for continuing our journey to improve our forecasting, demand and production planning processes within the Beverage business unit. The Demand & Planning Manager holds a critical role in our organization with an end-to-end scope and multiple stake holders.

With over 190 years of chocolate drink experience and 3 factories in Europe, Barry Callebaut Beverages is the world’s leading manufacturer of specialty cocoa and high-quality milk-based solutions. Uncover the unique machine functionality of all our products. The beverage development center of Barry Callebaut is located outside Helsingborg, Sweden. There, powder drinks are developed and manufactured for a global market. The focus is on chocolate under our marketed brands Van Houten and Caprimo.

 

 

About The Role

As a Demand and Planning Manager your main responsibilities will be to:

  • Drive the forecasting process with Sales to deliver the most accurate forecast possible to the business
  • Provide overall leadership on the Demand Plan that drives the S&OP Planning process
  • Lead a continuous improvement agenda to develop the demand and planning function
  • S&OP lead
  • KPI responsibility for Stock Levels, Forecast Accuracy, OTIF Supplier
  • Lead process improvement and other key projects
  • Lead the planning team and nurture and develop talent within the team
  • Supply the production planners with forecast of highest possible accuracy. Quantitative analysis required for NPIs, seasonality and promotions to ensure a realistic forecast.
  • Support and secure the various processes put in place driven by Supply Chain (ABC classification, Safety stock level update, S&OP, Project meeting etc)
  • Support the organization in projects related to NPIs and Inventory Management.
  • Drive improvements/development both independently and in teams, manage expectations from stake holders, set up proactive ways of working to manage potential risks/issues before they occur.
  • For agreed KPIs and metrics; secure data collection and analysis. Drive appropriate actions to improve results and to exceed the expectations from both internal and external customers.
  • Participate in strategic discussion on Supply Chain Management topics to ensure proper development of function.
  • Some travel to other sites will be necessary.

 

Professional qualifications 

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant discipline, preferably within Supply Chain or equivalent level of knowledge
  • Professional experience in Supply Chain planning (demand, supply, S&OP), preferably in a manufacturing environment
  • Excellent working knowledge of MSOffice Software applications (especially Microsoft Excel) , Knowledge in SAP is preferred
  • Forecast system knowledge
  • Fluent in Swedish and English, both spoken and written
