About the role
The Customer Supply Chain Manager is a crucial role to enable the operating model and ensure the Customer Supply and Development organization sits close to markets & customers. The role will be instrumental to deliver customer service objectives and drive stickiness with our customers to enable long-term growth.
The role will heavily interact with commercial/sales leaders in the markets and key customers to generate deep insights to support the country cluster strategic priorities. The Customer Supply Chain Manager will take accountability for driving performance improvements in local supply chain activities and to deliver improved service and cost-to-serve.
Key responsibilities include
- This role will play a pivotal role in partnering with the respective Country cluster Managing Directos to deliver upon the country cluster customer service & volume objectives and enable growth by driving excellence in execution and building strong relationships across the internal & external network (enabling the new operating model)
- Primary focus is on supporting the commercial business development of the country cluster by delivering reliable and responsiveness service
- Owns and develops the Country cluster supply chain strategy and route to market by identifying and balancing key drivers from an economic, industry, customer and competitive landscape perspective
- Leverages and actively manages the Global Business Services process towers & teams and act as an advocate for E2E integration and efficiency
- Active relationship management and engagement with Global planning & logistics functions, Regional supply chain teams and operations. Primary point of contact for all Supply Chain related items in the Country cluster.
- Ensures local market intelligence and day-to-day operations are in line with global, regional and local goals (e.g. SLAs, budgets, lead times, …)
- Owns the Cluster country supply chain budget & service level
- Actively participates in the demand validation and sign-off of the Country cluster
- Develops joint business plans with key customers and enables customer intimacy & proximity
- Supports the development of robust weekly plans and forecast consumption assumptions; leads the country cluster S&OE discussions
- Delivers NPI within the Country/cluster (incl management of obsolete or outlet inventory)
- Be the SPOC of the Country cluster for any Global/Regional projects
- Ensure Global/Regional processes and policies are implemented and adhered to
About you
- Min 15+ years of overall experience including 10+ years of relevant domain experience in F&B/FMCG industry
- Post graduate in any business / supply chain discipline
- Hands-on, data driven
- Problem solving skills through root cause analysis
- Proficient in English
- Strong communication & presentation skills
- Commercially savvy and balanced professional (excels in expectation management)
- Ability to lead and manage change in a complex environment
- Proactive and collaborative approach, demonstrated people leadership via direct and indirect influencing
- Experience in leading customer facing functions set-up/scale-up/transformation
- Critical thinking, ability to spot trends and work with large data, multiple stakeholders and challenging context
- Direct experience in continuous improvement of supply chain processes and systems
- Can work across diverse sales personalities and needs of various business units and customers
- Energetic, enthusiastic and have the capacity to apply extra effort when the occasions demand
- Ability to bring people together, set common agenda and drive change in an collaborate way
- Independent and self-driven personality
- Skills to create internal and external partnerships across the organization and manage interfaces
- Demonstrated experience in leading successful & sustainable change management for customer centric supply chains
- Builds deep customer understanding and relationships
- Close collaboration between different functions with a common business language
- Shared accountability to provide relevant inputs for the next process steps
- Ability to lead, guide and develop a small (remote) team (3 people)
- Business acumen, capable of presenting logical and well-structured proposals
Location : flexible in Western Europe, with at least 2 days in Köln office
Travel : Travel requirements: 10 to 15% and frequent customer visits & reviews
