Indirect Spend Coordinator

About the role
This position has responsibility for the procurement and commodity management for the Indirect Spend categories such as: Chemical, Packaging, Logistics, Freight, General Services and Indirect on its plant on scope. The Indirect Spend Coordinator would participate on Cross Functional Teams, and supports the Indirect Spend Manager with the sourcing implementation plans.
Key responsibilities include:
• Implement sourcing strategy for all indirect categories on scope.
• Work with multiple process partners to gather and assess requirements.
• Manage relationships with suppliers.
• Track and report commodity performance metrics.
• Develop internal and external category profile.
• Develop and Implement supplier evaluation criteria.
• Review supplier responses to Requests for Proposals.
• Develop bid packages and administer the RFP/RFQ/RFI, by using 7 steps methodology.
• Assess supplier capabilities and recommend "shirt list" of suppliers for bid lists.
• Build a Total Cost of Ownership (TCO)/ supplier ranking matrix.
• Resolve issues between suppliers and process partners.
• Develop fact-based briefs for supplier meetings.
• Implement sourcing contracts.
• Identify and communicate supplier diversity opportunities.
• Oversee transactional order placement.
• Recognize and communicate potential supplier development opportunities.
• Develop alternative sourcings on its categories.
• Ensure continuous supply of the goods and services to the plants in scope.
• Manage the technical purchases of indirectly (maintenance, facility management, spare parts, fork lift etc).
• Analyze historical spend data and budget and help to define category strategy.
• Operationally manage all spend, including placing purchase orders, purchase order follow up, contract and invoice follow up.
• Partner with internal customers to understand the business needs.
• Understand market forces, research and evaluate vendors.
• Apply the purchasing process flows in line with the category strategy.
• Define particular terms and conditions.
• Negotiate proposals and finalize contracts.
• Manage Contracts.
• Support supplier relationship management.
• Drive continuous improvements (cost and service) of assigned sourcing categories.
• Monitor results in spend reduction and savings.
• Monitor and implement KPIs to keep the process and team performance on track with the company targets.
Scope:
● All Brazil
● Might require up to 10% travel to factories in the respective region depending on the priorities and ongoing projects.
Qualifications:
● Degree in Business Administration degree or Engineer degree in technical field is a plus.
● Solid experience in indirect spend purchasing (preferably in food / pharmaceutical / chemical industries).
● Experience in large-scale transformation projects or enterprise PMO functions.
● Language: English written and spoken fluently.
● Knowledge in SAP. (Ms Office Suite is a must).
● Knowledge of Brazilian tax system for Purchasing activities.
