Barry Callebaut Digital (BC Digital) is on a mission to lead the digital revolution in the chocolate industry and we're looking for a FinOps Analyst to support this transformative journey. Reporting directly to the Director Platforms, you will play a crucial role in monitoring, analyzing, and managing financial information within our platform unit. As part of the Platforms team, you will be responsible for the expenditure and cost optimization management of our IT infrastructure and azure cloud platform. You will closely collaborate with the team to determine cost operations, collect financial data, and recommend actions based on financial patterns.

 

 

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES & SCOPE

 

  • Determine cost of operations of our IT infrastructure and cloud platform
  • Collect and maintain required financial data and information internally and from our partners and vendors
  • Monitor and manage expenditure and identify cost optimization potentials
  • Oversee our cloud platforms operations partners and collaborate closely to monitor cloud spend and identify areas of improvement
  • Prepare and present detailed financial reports and dashboards to stakeholders, highlighting key metrics, trends, and insights related to cloud and IT costs
  • Work closely with finance, IT, and procurement teams to align financial operations with organizational strategies and goals. Provide support and guidance on financial matters related to cloud and IT services
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal policies. Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and addressing any financial discrepancies
  • Utilize data analytics tools and techniques to analyze financial data, identify patterns, and support decision-making processes
  • Guide and act as the primary point of contact for financial activities within the platform unit

 

ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE & KNOWLEDGE / TECHNICAL OR FUNCTIONAL COMPETENCIES

  • Minimum of 5 + years of relevant experience
  • Proven experience in a FinOps role managing (cloud) spend and optimization of a large organization
  • Good Knowledge of infrastructure management, physical and virtual servers, as well as cloud management related to security activities
  • Independent and self-driven personality, taking responsibility and owning tasks
  • Possesses good problem-solving skills and structured way of working
  • Openness to try and learn new technologies and skills
  • Good written and verbal communication skills, being able to communicate problems to non-technical audiences
