About the role

  • Barry Callebaut Digital (BC Digital) is on a mission to lead the digital revolution in the chocolate industry, and we're looking for a [Head of] Reporting & Self-service Analytics to lay the foundation for data-driven decision-making. Reporting to the Senior Director of Analytics & Insights, you will have the unique opportunity to shape our digital future by unlocking actionable reports based on a global reporting framework and enabling business users to build their analytics solutions.
     

Key responsibilities include

  • Oversee the Reporting & Self-service Analytics unit at Barry Callebaut, directly reporting to the Senior Director of Analytics & Insights
  • Lead a team of data-, BI-, and UX Engineers to build up reporting and self-service analytics capabilities
  • Develop a framework for governed reporting and analytics, including global governance of key performance metrics
  • Oversee the development of reports and dashboards according to business needs, including the development of analytical data models
  • Develop a framework of best practices and training, and build a community to enable reporting and analytics across Barry Callebaut
  • Oversee the lifecycle management of reporting and self-service analytics solutions at Barry Callebaut at a global level
  • Collaborate with our Data Enablement team to foster a culture of data literacy and data-driven decision-making
  • Support the business in the development of reporting and analytics solutions
  • Prioritize initiatives based on business value and steer the implementation of new technologies
  • This is a global leadership role with key stakeholders located in Brussels, Zurich, and other locations of our global footprint, and thus requires up to 25% travel.

 

About you

  • Graduate degree in IT/technology, data, computer science, engineering, business administration or a comparable field
  • Proficient in English
  • Extensive experience with Microsoft Data & Analytics tools (e.g. PowerBI, Azure Databricks, Azure Data Factory, etc.), certifications appreciated
  • Extensive experience with SAP Analytics tools, particularly SAC, certifications appreciated
  • Significant experience in building and leading analytics teams in the food & beverages/manufacturing industry (additional relevant industry experience is a plus)
  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience, including the management of multi-cultural, dispersed teams
  • Deep understanding of roles, processes and technologies around business intelligence, reporting & analytics, and data modeling incl. related trends
  • Experienced in enabling an organization through best-in-class reporting and analytics capabilities
  • The ability to bring people together and mobilize individuals to pursue a joint agenda
  • Demonstrated success in leading diverse teams & driving change collaboratively on a global scale
  • Independent and self-driven personality
  • Skills to create internal and external partnerships/networks across the organization
  • Exhibits a passion for advanced analytics and innovation, constantly seeking new and creative solutions to enhance processes, decision-making and user experiences
