About the role

  • Barry Callebaut Digital (BC Digital) is on a mission to lead the digital revolution in the chocolate industry, and we're looking for a Cloud Governance Lead to support this transformative journey. Reporting directly to the Head of Cloud Management Operations, you will be crucial in enhancing our cloud management capabilities. As part of the Cloud Management Operations team, you will support the management, design, and operation of our cloud-based IT stack, while supporting and communicating strategic cloud architecture plans. You will closely collaborate with the team to ensure overall scalability, reliability, and performance. In addition, you will be responsible for steering vendors for platform provisioning and management.

 

Key responsibilities include

  • Support and communicate strategic cloud architecture plans, that align with the organization's long-term business goals
  • Support our global Cloud Management Operations and our global Azure cloud infrastructure management and integration, incl. storage & backup, cloud governance, capacity management and monitoring
  • Design, implement, and monitor cloud governance principles, frameworks, and standards leveraging state-of-the-art cloud management tools and technologies
  • Design and plan cloud governance solution designs leveraging industry trends and emerging technologies to drive innovation and competitive advantage
  • Provide support on the technical aspects of solution development and integration, while considering policies, standards, and practices (including security measures)
  • Provide day-to-day operational support by responding to related inquiries 
  • Monitor our cloud architecture and ensure that it aligns with business requirements
  • Maintain and monitor the licenses for our cloud services and ensure compliance with the licensing requirements
  • Support renewals and negotiations with our key vendors and partners
  • Maintain relevant documentation and ensure proper knowledge management
  • Closely collaborate with other BC Digital teams to ensure the highest security standards
  • Collaborate with the broader Enterprise Architecture community to ensure cohesive architecture governance strategies across the organization, sharing insights, and best practices, and ensuring alignment with overall enterprise architecture standards and frameworks

 

About you

  • Degree in IT/technology, compute science, network technology, or a comparable field
  • Proficient in English
  • Significant experience in a comparable role and profound knowledge of cloud governance, frameworks, and standards, cloud vendor management, knowledge management, stakeholder management and training, etc.
  • Good Knowledge of cloud computing services with Microsoft Azure, and cloud networking ideas and settings
  • Independent and self-driven personality, taking responsibility and owning tasks
  • Possesses good problem-solving skills and a structured way of working
  • Openness to try and learn new technologies and skills
  • Good written and verbal communication skills, being able to communicate problems to non-technical audiences
  • Exhibits a passion for digital technology and innovation, constantly seeking new and creative solutions to enhance processes, decision-making and user experiences
  • Collaborates well across diverse and globally distributed teams, with the ability to build and maintain positive relationships across different levels and functions of the organization
  • Is a true team player, supporting their colleagues by sharing knowledge and experience and commits the teams’ joint success
  • Possesses good problem-solving skills and analytical thinking
  • Capable of effective communication, conveying complex problems clearly and persuasively to internal and external stakeholders
