About the Role

 

The Role of the QA controller is to maintain and improve the quality management system and ensure customer satisfaction regarding Quality. This is done by by ensuring that policies and procedures are followed in production in order to meet regulatory and customer requirements. Also by providing professional and timely answers to customers’ requirements, questions and complaints.

The QA controller is part of the QA team and is also the back-up in case of absence of the QA Manager.

You are the voice of quality on the shop floor and also respect and promote people safety standards and support the QA manager in crisis management.

 

Key Responsibilities Include:

 

  • Quality System: Supporting improvements of IBC system and help maintain the Quality Documentation System (QDS) and act as a backup for the Quality Manager and towards direct colleagues (complaints, COA’s, …)
  • Customer Service: Aim for the highest service and provide expert advice to customers (e.g. questionnaires, specifications) and supervise the correct approval of labels and artwork in the global QDS
  • Drive the implementation of customer requirements into BC quality systems by analysing customer inquiries to identify recurring questions/topics/issue and areas where customer service can be improved
  • QC of the process: QC of incoming goods, CCP’s, process parameters. Act as a primary point of contact for the shop floor, proactively supporting the factory and other functions to achieve compliance with the required standards. Initiate and participate in quality related improvement and problem solving, food safety teams using root cause problem solving tools such as 5-why, Ishikawa analysis to non-conformance and complaints.
  • Supplier technical point of contact: Ensure all information is updated in time and archived. You are the owner of the process for supplier complaints. Also coordination with the external labs.
  • Various: Maintain a proper follow up of the calibration certificates. Participate in internal audits related to HACCP, food safety, sustainability and quality management system

 

 

About You

 

  • 2+ year experience in a quality or food safety related function with a good understanding of Food Safety, HACCP, GMP and problem solving principles    
  • Bachelor or Master in Food Science/Technology, Nutrition, Chemistry or equivalent
  • Experience in the Food Industry or related GMP regulated industry
  • Languages: Dutch, French and English
  • Experience in auditing
  • Experience with FSSC 22000, Kosher, Halal, RSPO is a plus
