About the Packer role
Under the direction of the shift Supervisor, the person who fills this role will maintain company standards within our production facility by appropriately packing our chocolate products within required specifications. This person is also responsible for minimizing breakage, visual inspection of finished product to evaluate defects, and packaging of finished product. Responsible for reaching set goals while minimizing waste.  The person chosen to fill this role will

contribute largely to the success of the Production Department in the facility in Hendersonville, NC.

 

Shift:  2nd shift, 3:00 pm - 1:30 am, Monday - Thursday  (You only work 4 days per week)

Pay:  Starting at $16.50 per hour 

 

Key responsibilities include

  • Associate will be crossed trained for all tasks on packaging lines
  • Adheres to all GMP and HACCP operating procedures
  • Must be able to lift 50lbs. unassisted
  • Indirectly reports to Line Operator
  • Feeds Packing material to packaging lines
  • Inspects product for damages, reports damages and correct
  • Places proper labels on finished goods
  • Removes finished goods to conveyer line
  • Keep work area clean
  • Must promote a safe working environment
  • Committed to providing a safe food product
  • Must be able to communicate appropriately with Supervisors and Co-Workers
  • Must be able to apply Supervisor’s directions
  • Works within all regulatory requirements    

Education:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent

Work Experience:

  • Six Months of work experience, preferably in a Manufacturing environment
