Senior Project Engineer Germany Cocoa

To strengthen our team in executing investment projects at our cocoa plant in Hamburg, we are looking for a Senior Project Engineer (m/f/d) to join our engineering team. The position is initially limited to 2 years with the possibility to prolong the contract. 

 

Your Responsibilities

  • Full responsibility for individual investment projects at the site

  • Planning and execution of technical projects in the areas of production and infrastructure

  • Preparation of project applications and coordination with internal stakeholders

  • Support in preparing building permit applications in close cooperation with architects and external partners

  • Construction supervision during project implementation, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards

  • Schedule and cost control as well as regular reporting to the Head of Engineering and, if applicable, the Steering Committee

  • Coordination of suppliers and service providers

  • Liaison with authorities (BUKEA, HPA, Occupational Safety Office, Fire Department) as part of approval procedures

 

Your Profile

  • Completed degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Process Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a comparable qualification

  • Proven professional experience (min. 4 years) in project planning and execution, ideally in the food or manufacturing industry

  • Knowledge of construction and approval procedures, as well as authority management

  • Strong organizational skills and cost awareness

  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team

  • Fluent German and good level of English, both written and spoken
