The Process and CI Engineer is responsible for providing process engineering support for the implementation, commissioning, and maintenance of manufacturing processes and equipment in both upstream and downstream production areas. Additionally, this role supports the full implementation of Continuous Improvement (CI) initiatives at the site.

The engineer contributes to equipment specification, process design, development, and optimization, aiming to improve performance, cost-efficiency, product quality, production technologies, and energy usage. The Process and CI Engineer plays an essential role in project teams, either by independently leading projects or contributing to larger initiatives.

 

This is a temporary role for 1 year maternity leave replacement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and train process standards within upstream and downstream streams.

  • Initiate and lead Continuous Improvement (CI) actions focused on operational performance.

  • Apply CI tools in cooperation with the local CI Leader.

  • Support troubleshooting and problem-solving in the production environment.

  • Align production processes with quality expectations and requirements.

  • Plan and analyze experiments; document and report results.

  • Conduct trials at both laboratory and industrial scale.

 

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, preferably in Process Engineering, Food Technology, or a comparable discipline.

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a highly process-driven manufacturing environment.

  • Proven experience in designing and optimizing production processes.

  • Experience with computer-based simulations and process modeling.

  • Practical knowledge in experimental design and analysis.

 

Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in SAP.

  • Knowledge of project management methodologies.

  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma (Green Belt level), or 8-step problem-solving.

  • Strong German and English language skills, both written and spoken.
