About the role:

The QA Lead is responsible for developing, maintaining and implementing quality and food safety standards (FSSC 22000, HACCP, customer requirements, Kosher/Halal, sustainability norms) within their assigned zone of the Halle production site. The role ensures validation and verification of the HACCP plan, drives corrective and preventive actions, manages customer complaints and supports continuous improvement of product quality. The QA Lead also prepares training materials, leads audits and follows up on actions linked to GMP rounds, CAPAs and production issues
 

Key responsibilities:

  • Develop procedures, work instructions, forms and training materials in line with FSSC 22000, HACCP, Kosher, Halal and sustainability standards.
  • Map process flows, identify food safety risks and define CCPs, oPRPs and PRPs. 
  • Ensure correct monitoring and verification of CCPs, investigate deviations and coordinate corrective actions.
  • Update documentation and procedures when changes occur in standards, processes, installations or environment.
  • Analyse customer complaints, provide answers and define actions to prevent recurrence. 
  • Create one‑point lessons/POKA documents and follow up implementation on the shop floor.
  • Support internal and external audits in the assigned zone and follow up required actions
  • Participate in daily production meetings, discuss quality & food safety issues and propose improvements.
  • Support production problem‑solving, GMP rounds, FB hunts, root‑cause analysis and CAPA initiatives.

 

About you:

  • Bachelor’s degree or Industrial Engineering (Chemistry/Food Technology), Bio‑Engineer or Master in Life Sciences, Food Science or similar.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety standards (FSSC 22000, HACCP, Kosher/Halal, sustainability).
  • Analytical mindset — seeks information, reduces uncertainties, maintains high accuracy and quality.
  • Team‑oriented and collaborative: shares information proactively, asks for input, keeps others aligned.
  • Skilled in coaching and developing others, understanding individual training needs.
  • Strong problem solver capable of leading RCA sessions and following up preventive measures. 
  • Excellent communication skills — able to communicate effectively with operators, management, customers and auditors. 
  • PC knowledge: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SAP. 
  • Language requirements: Dutch or French as a native level plus additional Dutch or French in intermediate level and good English; able to participate in discussions and write professional reports.
