About the role:

As a member of the Plant Leadership Team, the Process Technology Manager is responsible for improving existing technologies for producing chocolate and/or cocoa products at the site. This role holds end‑to‑end accountability for process performance and process capability within the plant. It supports manufacturing teams in building capability, implementing process improvements, commissioning equipment, and evaluating new technologies to improve product quality, optimize performance, and reduce costs.
 

Key responsibilities:

  • Take the lead to set a standard way of working for each technology platform facilitator.
  • Establish and maintain global operational process standards, including SOPs and process routines.
  • Provide technical support for daily manufacturing operations and drive capability building on the shop floor.
  • Lead process optimization initiatives to ensure efficient, stable, and high‑quality production using SPC and data analytics.
  • Support commissioning of new equipment and technology upgrades.
  • Manage NPI (New Product Introduction) and PTF (Product Transfers) in collaboration with R&D and Innovation.
  • Identify challenging products and improve process capabilities by aligning specs with actual performance.
  • Lead automation, robotics, AI and IoT integration to reduce manual work and increase productivity.
  • Drive waste reduction, rework reduction and OEE improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with quality standards, regulatory requirements, and accurate SAP data for formulations.
  • Lead Process Experts and Packaging Experts in improving process capability and implementing enhancements. 

 

About you:

  • You Bachelor or Master’s degree in Process Engineering, Food Science, Chemical Engineering, Electromechanics, Bioscience Engineering, Chemistry or Physics. 
  • Fluent in local languages (Dutch & French) + advanced English. 
  • Strong analytical, solution‑oriented thinker with ability to build process and people capabilities. 
  • Ability to scale processes from lab/pilot to industrial production and translate these into operational guidelines. 
  • Skilled at leveraging big manufacturing data for process improvement and decision‑making. 
  • Excellent communication skills across levels, acting as a servant leader and hands‑on team player. 
  • Strong under pressure, adaptable to change and able to prioritize in a dynamic environment. 
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with ability to generate and implement out‑of‑the‑box ideas. 
  • Strong attention to the human side of change processes and knowledge‑sharing.
