Job Description

At Barry Callebaut, we are looking for a Production Operator for our team located in Gurb. Your mission will be to support the production process, ensuring the proper functioning of the machines while complying with established quality and food safety standards.

Main Responsibilities

  • Supervise and monitor the production processes.
  • Ensure compliance with quality standards at all stages of production.
  • Perform established quality controls and complete the necessary records.
  • Ensure the traceability of products.
  • Work in accordance with documented procedures and instructions related to the environment.
  • Notify any incident or deviation related to food safety or environmental issues to the immediate supervisor.
  • Participate in the preparation and manufacturing of products, adjusting machine parameters as needed.
  • Dosage of raw materials and process adjustments.
  • Refining control (microns) and adjustments.
  • Conching: parameter adjustments, viscosity control.

Required Training and Knowledge

Training:

  • Valued training in food handling.
  • Forklift license.
  • Basic computer skills at user level will be appreciated.

 

General Knowledge:

  • Ability to read, write, and understand instructions in the language of the workplace.
  • Basic knowledge of food hygiene to ensure safe food production.
  • Basic notions of occupational risk prevention.
  • Ability to communicate incidents.
  • Basic knowledge of cleaning in the food industry.

Experience

  • Previous experience in the food sector or the nut industry will be valued.

Skills

  • High capacity for learning and adaptation.
  • Ability to work in a team.
  • Commitment, rigor, and dedication.
  • Good communication skills.
