About the role

 

The Laboratory Technician conducts daily in-process quality control checking as well as the physical and chemical analysis and micro determinations of incoming raw materials and finished products. This role has either an emphasis on a continuous evaluation of the process, goods and the close follow up of the environmental monitoring. The incumbent organizes, updates, analyzes and reports the results in both written and verbal form to the QA team and the other departments involved.

 

Key responsibilities

 

•           Carry out in-process and finished goods sampling in / out the premises for analysis. Inform and liaise with production on the quality status during the process control analysis.

•           Assist in sample preparation of daily sensory evaluation.

•           Calibrate and maintain laboratory analytical instruments when required.

•           Maintain good house keeping and to ensure good safety in the working area.

•           Assist in preparing COA/COC. Update product status in the warehouse with the appropriate stickers.

•           Maintain and keep track of the physical and chemical inventories in the laboratory. Carry out inspection on packaging and secondary raw materials.

•           Assist in other QA activities.

 

 

About you

 

•           Bachelor Degree in Microbiology, Food Science or Chemistry

•           2+ years of experience in advanced analytical techniques

•           Solid knowledge of analytical laboratory equipment and procedures

•           Digital skills

•           English – Intermediate

•           Responsibility and confidentiality

•           Methodology and Analytical skills

•           Initiative, Autonomy and Communication skills (Team Spirit)

•           Priority management
