About the Role

 

We are currently hiring for an experienced Plant Manager to manage our production facility in Eskisehir responsible for overseeing all daily operations of our food production facility. This role is key in ensuring that products are manufactured safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards while meeting production targets. You will bring your proven leadership experience to lead a cross-functional team including production, quality assurance, maintenance and logistics.

 

 

Key Responsibilities include

 

  • Ensure a Safety First mindset, fostering a "zero-injury" culture through regular safety audits and training
  • Optimize the performance of the operations environment
  • Implement and use the KPI’s to drive plant and factory efficiency
  • Ensure delivery of production output according to cost, schedule, quality standards, customer specifications and time
  • Ensure that operations facilities in area of responsibility comply with internal rules and external Turkish legislation
  • Ensure that equipment and technology used throughout the factory can handle short, medium and long-term requirements
  • Manage the Factory & Operations teams ensuring staff are motivated, trained and ready to achieve objectives, in a positive social climate
  • Manage human resources planning to achieve short and medium term business results
  • Ensure that operational budgets, KPIs and targets are met in the site and ensure effective use and allocation of funds and assets
  • Recruit, train, and mentor a diverse workforce, ensuring high engagement during high-pressure peak seasons
  • Ensure the facility is always "audit-ready"
  • Maintain and enforce Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) plans
  • Modernize and oversee digital traceability systems to ensure rapid response if required
  • Monitor Overall Equipment Effectiveness and implement Lean or Six Sigma methodologies to eliminate bottlenecks
  • Manage the plant budget, labor costs, and raw material yields to ensure profitability
  • Move the plant from reactive repairs to predictive maintenance
  • Deliver BC Sustainability roadmap & circular economy 

 

 

About you

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Engineering, or Business Administration
  • Previous experience of managing a production/manufacturing site in the food industry
  • Strong technical background supporting a continuous improvement work environment
  • Proven business and people management skills with a servant leadership mindset
  • Detailed knowledge of plant and manufacturing functional disciplines
  • Professional certification in HACCP, SQF, or Six Sigma (Green/Black Belt)
  • Experience in OPEX methodologies like IWS
  • Experience of Crisis Management with the ability to effectively take the lead in crisis situations
  • Excellent Stakeholder management experience
  • Able to effectively report KPIs to executive leadership as well as maintaining a presence on the factory floor
  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • Fluency in Turkish and English with knowledge of the local Turkish market required
