About the role:
A Warehouse Supervisor manages daily warehouse operations, overseeing staff, inventory (receiving, storing, and shipping), and logistics to ensure efficiency and safety. Responsibilities include training new hires, enforcing protocols, managing documentation, and collaborating with other departments to maintain a smooth workflow and ensure order fulfillment. The Warehouse Supervisor serves as a link between management and floor staff, with a focus on productivity, accuracy, and adherence to safety standards such as GMPs.
Working hours: 2nd Shift - Monday to Friday from 3 pm-11 pm.
Key responsibilities include:
- Lead and supervise warehouse employees across all shifts, including scheduling and timecard approval.
- Ensure employees perform responsibilities safely and accurately, following warehouse SOPs and scanning protocols.
- Oversee accurate creation and maintenance of all shipping and receiving documents, including BOLs.
- Supervise proper handling of shipped, received, and hold products according to guidelines and disposition.
- Manage movement of finished goods from staging areas to the warehouse and designated truck shipments.
- Validate inbound and outbound shipments for quality and accuracy to prevent customer complaints and returns.
- Ensure adherence to finished goods quality standards before returning pallets to production.
- Supervise picking of orders for production and direct customer shipments in line with SOPs.
- Maintain warehouse cleanliness and housekeeping standards to support compliance.
- Coordinate warehousing activities with Production, QA, and Planning departments.
- Report packaging requirements to the inventory and planning team.
- Promote compliance with company safety guidelines, GMPs, and all regulatory requirements.
About you:
- 3+ years of experience in warehouse operations with an emphasis on the manufacturing industry; experience in the food and beverage industry is desirable.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, with emphasis on Excel.
- ERP or related experience needed; SAP experience is a plus.
- Strong sense of urgency & attention to detail
- Excellent organization, communication, and follow-up skills
- Ability to work independently and to meet deadlines.
- Ability to self-direct and take constructive action in ambiguous situations
