Under the direction of the Maintenance Manager, the Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for coordination and control of technical work and preventative maintenance for the Eddystone facility covering all shifts for a 24/7 operation.

 


Key responsibilities include: 

 

  • Supervise, organize and control the technician workflow as well as support production priorities and improve efficiencies including continuous improvement and analysis.
  • Prepare and manage site preventative maintenance programs using MAXIMO (Computerized Maint. Mgmt. System)
  • Manage spare parts inventory and accuracy, including the sourcing of replacement parts for repairs, rebuilds, and preventative maintenance
  • Provide last line of defense for troubleshooting to assist technicians in more complicated repairs and problems.
  • Master the process and the operation of new and existing production lines and their parameters.
  • Manage maintenance work flow and spare parts inventory transactions using MAXIMO.
  • Follow technicians for proper execution and reporting maintenance task
  • Must promote a safe working environment and good GMP’s.
  • Committed to providing a safe food product.
  • Works within all regulatory requirements.
  • Perform all other related duties as requested.

  • Special knowledge Expertise – mastery of mechanical/electrical maintenance functions.
  • Developing other/interpersonal understanding – listen to others accurately and understand their unspoken or partly expressed thoughts, feelings and concerns.

  • Ability to troubleshoot and make minor modifications to a number of PLC systems, including Allen Bradley and Siemens

 

 

About you:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree or Associates degree in technical related field preferred, plus five to ten years of specialized experience in mechanical/electro-mechanical maintenance in a manufacturing environment (preferably food industry).
  • Five years supervisory experience with high level of mechanical aptitude.
  • Expert proficiency with Microsoft Office and maintenance CMMS systems
  • Background with manufacturing methods, process improvement programs and procedures required.
  • Working knowledge of budgets and financial statement
  • PLC programming knowledge is a plus.
  • Must be able to move freely inside and outside the building
  • Must be able to work at heights and confined spaces (with a proper training) as needed.
