About the role:
The Inventory Supervisor is responsible for the accounting and accuracy of raw and finished goods inventory. The role ensures compliance with established internal control procedures, maintains the accuracy of all data in SAP, and implements inventory control concepts, best practices, and procedures to advance the department. The Inventory Supervisor is also expected to promote teamwork and collaboration with other areas, such as the warehouse, production, and quality.
Working hours: Monday to Friday, from 7:30 am to 4:30 pm. Some weekends during the year due to cycle counts.
Key responsibilities include:
- Oversee the accuracy of raw materials, finished goods, packaging, and rework inventory.
- Manage accounting for local and external warehouse inventories and conduct periodic audits.
- Develop and implement inventory control methods and procedures to ensure accountability and minimize losses.
- Lead daily, weekly, and monthly cycle counts across plant locations.
- Supervise and complete inventory adjustments in SAP.
- Investigate and reconcile inventory discrepancies between SAP and physical counts, including production orders, warehouse movements, and intercompany transfers.
- Implement corrective actions and provide training or updated procedures where needed.
- Train and retrain operators on proper SAP use to maintain inventory accuracy.
- Lead and supervise inventory coordinators while planning training programs for employees.
- Ensure compliance with safety policies, GMPs, and commitment to safe food products.
About you:
- BA/BS degree in Business, Supply Chain, Accounting, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a leadership or supervisory role.
- Experience in the manufacturing industry; food manufacturing experience is desirable.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google applications, with a strong emphasis on Excel.
- ERP or related system experience required; SAP experience preferred.
- Strong data analysis skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet strict deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills.
