About the role:


The Production Manager, Up Stream will be accountable for the operational performance from beans to liquor. This person will manage, direct and implement operational strategies and objectives to ensure the achievement of operational performance. The manager will be responsible for following up on the complete stream: the owner of quality, maintenance programs, output, and performance according to budget, target, and strategy of the plant.

Key responsibilities include: 

•    Ensure a safe, healthy and positive environment, lead by example
•    Day-by-day follow-up of manpower, materials, and assets 
•    Define, coordinate and assure reception of beans
•    Translate mid-term planning in daily scheduling
•    Asset scheduling for minimal conversion cost 
•    Optimize constraints for optimal product processing and flow
•    Tank and silo allocation with minimal inventory 
•    Coordinate in-flow and out-flow of material in the assets
•    Integrate and challenge planned and unplanned flow-disturbances (manpower, assets, materials) 
•    Assure alignment with Downstream Leader and functional departments as planning and sourcing.
•    Assure best possible relationships with stream members and out-of-stream members
•    Manage production resources to deliver short, medium, and long term production outputs
•    Assure alignment with the other stream leader and site departments 
•    Leaderships a team of multi-skilled members to focus on performance and improvements 
•    Assure shared resources between streams according to correct priorities to meet optimal site performances 
•    Support to achieve the goals of the site manager
•    Ownership of the complete stream performance: Quality, Maintenance, output, budget, strategic initiatives, being accountable for safety, quality performance, yield, OEE%, OTIF
•    Beans to liquor yield follow-up
•    Manages a team of up to 25 people
•    Committed to providing a safe food product
•    Works within all regulatory requirements
•    Develop skills and talents of the team through performance and development management
•    Manage stakeholder relationships and execute regional and corporate projects including legal compliance and risk management
•    Ability to adhere to GMP practices and all other food safety requirements
•    Perform all other related duties as required

About you:

•    Bachelors degree in appropriate food science major
•    7 - 10 years in production environment, including Food manufacturing experience, Process and procedures, continuous improvement, CAPEX and projects
•    Strong technical background, with business acumen, leadership skills, advanced english language
•    Advanced Excel experience required
•    Experience in SAP or related systems required
•    Must be able to freely more inside and outside the building
•    Must be able to climb stairs, stand, kneel, bend and reach over and under all equipment
•    Some exposure to noise, heat and cold
•    Some travel to other sites may be necessary
