Responsible for all functions and record keeping involved in packaging loadout, pallet removal processes, unboxing, melting activities for Liquor and Butter, (including SAP and MES) performing all the operational activities of production, following the safety standards, quality and meeting its standards, Adheres to all GMP and HACCP operating procedures.

 

Key responsibilities include:

● Monitor liquor or butter to melt inventory through physical counting and SAP transactions

● Transport pallets with a forklift

● Removal and disposal of cardboard and plastic bags 

● Manually inserting blocks of liquor and butter into the industrial melters

● Record truck weight pre and post load on scale

● Monitor and clean magnetism sweco sieve screen and change filter

● Dispose of all waste accumulated from the area

● Prepare loadout equipment and monitor the process

● Ensure trucks are scaled and confirm pick up number

● Control Liquor and butter to melt inventory through physical counting and SAP transactions

● Move pallets using forklift

● Remove packaging (boxes and plastic bags)

● Manual dumping of 25kg blocks of Liquor or Butter into their respective Melter equipment

● 1 MT blocks of liquor feeding into the liquor melter using the clamp forklift

● Manual recordkeeping by completing manual recordkeeping paperwork.

● Complete CCP certification for the melting operations

● Monitors and clean magnets, filter and vibratory sieve screen

● Removes full pallets to the staging area with forklift

● Removes all waste from the area

● Set up with Nib Roasting Operator to schedule / pickup melt orders or COA and packaging slips, make sure all raw materials are available prior to processing, check the melting tank for space allowance, and start up melting or loadout equipment.

● Set up loadout equipment and monitor process of butter and liquor loadout

● Product sampling and hands-on testing for fat and temperature of liquor and butter for specific loadouts when needed.

● Product sampling for microbiology lab

● To monitor the CCP and register it appropriately in the system and forms, following the HACCP procedure and taking the proper actions and communication in case of failure

● To monitor the process parameters and inform the supervisor any deviation in the process

● Register all the results at the defined form and/or system

● Perform cleanup of the area and equipment, inspecting for damage tools, worn out tools, missing tools, and completing the monitoring forms with the information

● Must promote a safe working environment and good GMP’s 

● Committed to producing a safe food product

● Works within all regulatory requirements

● Perform all other related duties as requested

 

About you:

● High school diploma or equivalent

● Computer experience a plus

● Ability to multi-task and work independently

● Team player with good communication skills

● Must be able to lift 50 lbs unassisted on a continual basis

● Certified Barry Callebaut forklift operator
