About the role:
The Warehouse Manager will oversee all activities related to the reception, handling, and storage of raw materials, packaging supplies, and finished goods, as well as manage all shift supervisors. Strategic responsibilities include departmental continuous improvement, KPI and metric oversight and tracking, budget management, resource allocation, and the development of special projects such as barcoding and the SAP WM module. Tactical responsibilities include planning, scheduling, and directing work activities for employees within warehouse and staging operations, encompassing inventory management, shipping, receiving, freight management, production support, and special projects.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supervise inventory accuracy, cycle counts, and semi-annual audits to ensure data integrity.
- Manage warehouse employees, including supervision, training coordination, and disciplinary measures.
- Plan and monitor inbound and outbound operations to meet transportation schedules and production line needs.
- Conduct and validate SAP transactions to properly record all material movements and dispositions.
- Track KPIs, report variances, and uphold standards set by the Regional Manager.
- Ensure outbound shipments meet quality and accuracy standards to prevent customer complaints.
- Maintain warehouse cleanliness, records, and compliance with AIB/BRC standards and GMP requirements.
- Promote and enforce plant safety policies and regulatory compliance.
- Coordinate warehousing activities with traffic, production, QA, and finance teams.
- Report packaging requirements to the Order Fulfillment Coordinator.
- Optimize floor space utilization and resource allocation for efficient operations.
- Commit to providing safe food products through adherence to all regulatory requirements.
About you:
- BA/BS degree in Business, Supply Chain, Accounting, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in warehouse operations with an emphasis on the manufacturing industry; experience in the food and beverage industry is desirable.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, with emphasis on Excel.
- ERP or related experience needed, SAP experience is a plus.
- Strong sense of urgency & attention to detail
- Excellent organization, communication, and follow-up skills
- Ability to work independently and to meet deadlines.
- Ability to self-direct and take constructive action in ambiguous situations
