Job Summary:

The Financial Analyst will serve as a key member of the Barry Callebaut finance organization and the Cocoa North America business unit.  This role will be responsible for supporting the business unit by performing duties related to financial reporting, inventory controls, and cost analysis.  Under the general supervision of the Finance Business Partner, OSCO the financial analyst will support the plant operations and supply chain teams by providing guidance and insights in order to drive the financial performance of the plant.


Essential Functions:

  • Monitor the plant’s physical inventories including finished goods, raw materials, and spare parts.
  • Ensure the accurately and timely reconciliation of process orders
  • Leverage existing data to publish weekly and monthly KPI reporting related to production and inventory
  • Provide quality reporting and analysis to the operations team to help drive performance and savings
  • Support the BP in reporting monthly plant activity including output, factory yields, and MUV
  • Support the BP in monthly cost variance analysis related to all plant costs i.e. variable, fixed, and depreciation.
  • Provide quality reporting and analysis to the operations team to help drive performance and savings
  • Participate in ongoing continuous improvement and finance related projects to ensure best practices
  • Identify areas of cost savings and influence key leaders in implementing savings
  • Complete and support regular and ad-hoc reporting for formal and informal reports, graphs, charts and presentations






  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business related field


Work Experience:

  • 3-5 years of experience in food manufacturing, food ingredient, or commodity related business
  • Budgeting, financial analysis, and commercial analysis experience
  • Expert proficiency with Excel and Power Point
  • SAP/BIW experience preferred
  • Previous cocoa/chocolate industry experience strongly preferred
