SCOPE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

Summary:

 

The Treasury Accountant ensures that the organization has adequate liquidity for it to conduct daily operations and meet financial obligations. The Treasury Analyst undertakes treasury operations and transactions in a diligent as well as timely manner while safeguarding an acceptable level of financial risk (excluding raw material price risk) and the organization’s financial health. The Treasury Analyst plays a supporting job in developing financial management strategies. This job gets guidance and support from the Accounting Manager on complex activities, ad hoc requests, and key issues in the execution of duties. This role is based in Samborondón and Durán and reports to the Accounting Manager.

 

Essential Functions:

  • Make and post the payments in the cash management application.
  • Monitor Accounts Payables + Receivables including booking of sundry sales invoices.
  • Operational support for Finance department, such as SAP transactions.
  • Organize, manage, and execute organization-wide treasury activities
  • Perform cash forecasting and liquidity analyses
  • Analysis of Balance sheet & P&L accounts.
  • Report updates and propose business ideas and initiatives related to process and technology, to the business and the top-level management in BCE.
  • Provide the mandatory reports for the smooth closing process, compliant to the global accounting guidelines.
  • Assist in the external and tax audit processes.
  • Oversee internal control frameworks and ensure the design efficiency as well as operating effectiveness of internal controls. (related to Treasury)

 

Scope:

  • Role will be based in Samborondón and Durán, Ecuador
  • Responsible for ensuring timely and daily payments to key raw material suppliers, maintaining the company fully current with all vendor obligations.
  • Responsible for projects related to Treasury.
  • 1 Cleaning and drying facility, 1 administrative office and 1 Farm.
  • Reports directly to Accounting & Reporting Chief, based in Guayaquil Ecuador

 

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

 

Education & Work Experience:

  • University level education with a focus on accounting, CPA or equivalent.
  • Minimum 3-4 years’ experience in finance (accounting) with emphasis on Treasury.
  • Good team player who works well without supervision.
  • Ability to work in fast paced environment with focus on continuous process improvement.
  • Adaptable to changing environment with the ability to drive continuous improvement initiatives regarding processes, technologies, and organization
  • Accounting experience in a multinational company, preferably in B2B / food industries.
  • Previous participation in process improvement is an advantage.
  • Medium level of business English.
  • SAP experience preferred, Business Warehouse (BW), other ERP platforms is also valuable.
  • Power BI nice to have
  • MS environment (Excel advanced)
  • Microsoft Outlook 360

 

 

Additional Requirements:

  • Ability to travel to other BC in-country sites as necessary
