The Supply Chain Manager for Gertrude Hawk Ingredients is responsible for all activities related to local Supply Chain: Long Term Supply Planning, supporting and developing S&OP activities within the local site.  Key areas of responsibility are warehousing (local and 3PL), (Local) transportation, production planning and scheduling, raw material and packaging replenishment, medium and long term supply planning.. The Supply Chain Manager will support the weekly and monthly Corporate S&OP meetings and ensure proper inventory levels, and FIFO levels of 100%, and production plan attainment. This position reports to the Site Manager for the Dunmore, PA site.

 

 

Key responsibilities include: 

 

  • Lead, develop, and coach the supply chain department in order to achieve maximum process efficiency and productivity.
  • Leads and participates in operations/site project teams as required
  • Assure inventory KPI targets for raw material, packaging, and finish goods are set and monitored 
  • Manage Seasonal pre-build inventory levels 
  • Make sure that there is no discrepancy between SAP Figures and Physical Stock
  • Ensure receiving of all goods and COA conformance
  • Ensure shipments have proper Bill of Lading and lot code information
  • Ensure the procurement and availability of raw materials and packaging
  • Assures the processes of the replenishment and return of material related to supplier issues is completed
  • Ensure supplier delivery, reliability and quantity, and COA compliance
  • Communicates weekly our future material requirements with procurement and suppliers
  • Ensures that production planning is in line with customer requirements, demand, and service levels
  • Manages MRP recommendations of finish goods and ensures optimization and utilization of the production equipment
  • Develops, tracks and publishes weekly and monthly Key Performance Indicators related to supply chain activities.
  • Explains monthly budget variances and KPI achievement
  • Manage the weekly and monthly supply plans based on the ABC levels and forecasts provided by sales
  • Manage the daily planning meeting and seeks alignment between operations and corporate central planning
  • Support the monthly S&OP meeting and seek alignment on prebuild plans, line staffing and availability for sales
  • Find Solutions with the local teams to increase the OTIF (On Time In Full) targets
  • Coordinate with Corporate sourcing on raw material contracts 

 

 

About you:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in either Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Operations, or Engineering.
  • 7 - 10 years of experience in Supply Chain, Operations preferably in the Food Manufacturing industry or related industries
  • Knowledgeable in MS Office Suite, Excel, ERP systems, with a strong understanding in SAP.
  • Experience in Production & Capacity Planning and Sales & Operations Planning preferred
  • Knowledge of warehouse operations and processes, transportation/logistics, and inventory management
  • Global experience with raw material / finished goods 
  • Long term planning cycle experience
  • Expanding global reach
  • Local and central planning coordination experience 
  • Ability to cope with change. Exhibits leadership and is looked to for direction. Dedicated to meet expectations and requirements of internal and external suppliers. Must have the ability to manage at macro and micro level
  • Quality and timely decisions based upon a mixture of analysis, wisdom, experience and judgment.
  • Negotiate skillfully in tough situations, works effectively with others, has strong interpersonal skills, can communicate effectively, verbally and in writing, and has good presentation skills
