Working in partnership with the Leadership Team, the Dunmore Site / Plant Manager will plan, design, deliver and lead a true performance culture based on operational and behavioral leadership requirements across the Dunmore site and will play an integral part in the definition and achievement of the Global Sweet Specialties strategy. The site / plant manager will be the end responsible for all manufacturing and supply chain processes on site as well as related to it (external warehouses, co-manufacturing etc.), ensuring a high performing team is built as evidenced by regularly exceeding agreed performance targets

 


Key responsibilities include: 


•    Ensuring a safe, healthy and positive environment, monitoring and optimizing safety, quality, cost, and manufacturing efficiencies
•    Leading, directing, coordinating and managing the day-to-day activities of the Dunmore factory, optimizing the performance (capacity, ability, cost-effectiveness, processes, cross factory perspectives) of the operations environment, focusing on driving CI activities in all functional areas and making sure all goods are delivered OTIF (On Time and In Full).
•    Contribute to the Global Sweet Specialties strategy and more specifically, supporting the OGSM (Objectives, Goals, Strategy and Measures) plan 
•    Translate the Operations strategy into local strategy and plans.  Coordinating with direct reports, planning to insure the total manufacturing objectives are met in a timely and cost effective manner (formulation of long and short term planning)
•    Design and management of the Dunmore factory and CAPEX budget
•    Building positive relationships, ensuring staff are motivated, trained and ready to achieve objectives, in a positive social climate
•    Ensure delivery of production output according to cost, schedule, quality standards, customer specifications and time
•    Ensure that equipment and technology used throughout the site can handle short, medium and long-term requirements.
•    Design and deliver short- or medium-term investments
•    Manage people planning to achieve short and medium-term business results
•    Ensure the Dunmore facility successfully meets the GMP, FSSC22000 and food safety regulations at all times, translating and adapting corporate policies and programs (FSSC, HACCP, GMP, CI etc.) into local site plan
•    Identify, recommend and implement changes to improve productivity and reduce cost and scrap; monitor scrap and rework data
•    Provide leadership, direction and coaching to accomplish the companies’ goals and objectives for site
•    Coordinate activities with the rest of the organization by acting as a liaison between departments and functions locally and within the wider BC Network and to inform personnel of decisions, policies, and all matters that affect their performance and results.
•    Represent Barry Callebaut to the relevant institutions, authorities and at times customers
•    Promotes and develops the leadership skills of the internal team 

 


About you:


•    Bachelor or Master’s Degree in Industrial, Mechanical Engineering or Operations Management
•    10 Years plus experience in Operations preferably in food and or chocolate/cocoa manufacturing environment
•    Proven achievements in Senior Management roles and Union experience 
•    Knowledge of Lean methodology and CI mindset, best practices and processes 
•    Performance improvement experience and proven track record against manufacturing KPIs in a leadership role
•    Continuously striving for improvements in ways of working, processes and approaches, best practice delivering a more effective management
•    Confident and decisive decision-maker with an analytical, strategic, project management mindset and have a positive, engaging and charismatic, driven personality and robust character
•    You have excellent learning agility; have the ability to accept responsibility, ensure quality, and truly understand the importance of being a leader
•    Driver of collaborative working relationships, ability to positivity manage consensus and decision making 
•    Good communicator, inclusive and mature leader with excellent listening skills, high-performing team building ability with energy and charisma.
•    Strong organizational and planning abilities
•    Must be self-reliant, full of initiative and able to make decisions
•    Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
