The Traceability Project Coordinator Cameroon is responsible for providing strategic leadership in the development and implementation of robust systems and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure full traceability of all beans sourced by the company. This includes building and maintaining a reliable database of farmers and geolocation polygons, and leading the national rollout of the EU Deforestation Regulation (EUDR), ensuring full compliance with all traceability requirements.

 

 

Key responsibilities include:

 

  • He/She will be responsible for designing all the required steps and SOPs for full traceability and full compliance with EUDR requirement.
  • He/She is responsible for mapping all plots declared by farmers in our farmers base, and census all famers, maintaining accurate data base.
  • He/She will work closely with HO team to ensure that all the mapping/farmer registration and    other related data is uploaded properly in our global platform.
  • He/She will be a team lead and design all the processes for the cleaning and updating of the Farmer Master Data.
  • He/She will liaise with all stakeholders including Sourcing and Sustainability team to engage suppliers and farmers in our traceability roadmap.
  • He/she will manage our traceability team, set objectives, provide them with the right training and monitor their work on a daily basis.
  • He/she will be responsible for producing the necessary reports for global and local teams on traceability data and projects.

 

About You:

 

 

Required academic & technical qualifications

 

  • Degree in related field: Agronomy/Geography/Information system
  • Five (5) years work experience in Cocoa, Sourcing &Traceability
  • Highly skilled in computer software and programing (Excel, SQL, BI, etc.)
  • Good understanding of English and ability to speak English
  • Ability to lead, to plan, co-ordinate and monitor in order to achieve results                       
  • Good communication and report writing skills

 

Essential experience & knowledge

 

  • Knowledge in Spatial analysis like QGIS and ArcGIS, software programming and App development is an added advantage
  • 3-5 years’ experience in commodity sourcing, cocoa preferred.
  • Should be very knowledgeable in the cocoa supply chain

 

Technical/Functional Competencies

 

  • Project management experience
  • Well versed in Ms Excel/ Agile environments/ GIS and other analytical tools (Python, R)
  • Experience in using report from SAP or other database, experience in database design a plus
  • Strong analytical and critical skills to ensure excellence in data and consistency
  • Experience with designing or working in sustainable KPI frameworks
  • Independence and quick learning ability
  • Ability to explain complex reporting processes to end users with coaching and training skills
  • Experience in cocoa or other tropical commodities is a real plus
  • Experience with small holder agricultural empowerment programs
