About the Role:

 

Line Manager           : Maintenance Leader

The Shift Electromechanic is responsible for the operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of electromechanical equipment and systems. Working in rotating shifts, this role ensures the continuous and safe functioning of machinery, minimizing downtime and supporting production efficiency. The position collaborates closely with production teams and reports to the Maintenance Leader.

Key responsibilities include:

 

  • Observe all safety, sanitation, GMP and HACCP requirements
  • Troubleshoot and repair on electrical and mechanical systems of production equipment.
  • Demonstrate troubleshooting capabilities on control systems, motors
  • Perform various equipment preventive maintenance tasks as necessary, but routinely in cases requiring advanced technical expertise
  • Responsible for safety compliance personally and with equipment in shift.
  • Restart and follow-up sudden shutdown of utility installations (Compressors, genset Etc) during shift,
  • Create, complete and close work orders using a computerized maintenance management system MAXIMO or other applications
  • Execute basic mechanical replacements.
  • Perform established PM’s and identify new opportunities for improvement;
  • Responsible for food safety as well as meeting all regulatory requirements.
  • Assist in day-to-day support of operators for adjustments, setups, and change overs

 

About You:

 

Required academic & technical qualifications

  • Bachelor degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering or Manufacturing Engineering 
  • BAC in F3 and F2 are added advantage
  • Minimum 1-year Experience at a similar role
  • English business proficiency (written and spoken)

 

 

Essential experience & knowledge

 

·       1-3 years’ experience in Electrical Engineering, Industrial Mechanics.

  • Ability to identify and analyze a situation and to make frequent technical decisions based on specifications, required
  • Proven experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment,
  • Strong knowledge of Electrical systems Automation and control systems, Instrumentation,Electrotechnics
