ABOUT THE ROLE
The role will oversee the Finance activities and will be the Co-pilot with the business and provide meaningful decision support to management whilst influencing and challenging key decisions. Act as the Finance interface to non-finance departments combining financial skills with business knowledge.
The Manager, FBP proactively provides insights on business opportunities and risks as well as the respective financial impact to management and the Director, Finance Business Partner Africa. This job supports and drives initiatives aimed at improving operational and financial performance.
The Manager, FBP is responsible / accountable for the short- and long-term financial performance of the assigned entities along with the respective management teams. He also assists the Director, Finance Business Partnering Africa on highly complex and critical issues and interacts with the managing Directors.
The FBP is also responsible for coordinating the information between the Finance pillars, FP&A, Accounting, Tax & Treasury to able to support business decisions and data accuracy.
KEY RESPONSABILITIES INCLUDE
● Strategic:
o Act as strategic advisory interface to the business and management by overseeing financial operations within the entities of the group.
o Contribute to developing business strategy
o Advise on investment activities and provide strategies for cost-saving.
o Support on mergers and acquisitions / divestitures and perform project analyses
● Financial reporting & Budget:
o Develop strategic financial planning and budgeting initiatives
o Support budget holders on preparing operating budgets and capex plans
o Support the business and management on preparing and determining business objectives, strategies, and tactics
● Business operations:
o Perform operation and business management reviews
o Provide the business and management with analytical support to enable an understanding of business dynamics
o Develop, analyze, and present financial results to the business and management
o Lead and coordinate projects to improve business performance and operations
- Provide financial reports and interpret financial information to the management team.
● Treasury Management:
o Monitor cash flow and financial transactions to ensure accuracy and transparency
o Oversee banking relationships and financial transactions.
● Auditing, Compliance & Risk management:
o Regulatory compliance on general tax environment and other regulatory bodies
o Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards.
o Engage with auditors for annual auditing processes.
● Team Leadership and Development:
o Supervise, develop and mentor finance staff.
o Provide guidance and support to other departments on financial matters.
● Develop external relationships with appropriate contacts, e.g. auditors, solicitors, bankers and statutory organizations
● Perform any additional duties that may be assigned on ad hoc basis
● Stakeholder Engagement:
o Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including auditors, regulatory bodies, and industry partners.
o Represent the finance department in strategic discussions, ensuring financial considerations are prioritized in decision-making.
ABOUT YOU
● Bachelor’s / Master’s in Finance, Accounting, Economics or similar
● Master’s in Business Administration
● Experience minimum 5 years as a Manager
● Fluent English and French
● 7-10 years of effective experience in finance and accounting area (F&A) is a must
● Experience in a multinational company, preferably in B2B / food industries
● Participation in process transition is an advantage
● Solid financial accounting skills, sound IFRS knowledge
● Proven Team Leader with strong interpersonal skills. Proven ability of driving team reorganization & skills revamp
● Can interact and build strong relationships with staff from various departments (Operations & Supply Chain, Q&A, Sourcing, Sustainability, HR, etc.) and different levels; Able to create strong links and legitimacy with Business Leaders to drive changes throughout the organization.

● Good SAP FI/CO knowledge
