About the Role
Barry Callebaut, the world's leading manufacturer of high-quality chocolate and cocoa products, is seeking a talented and driven TA Specialist to join our North America Talent Acquisition team based in Chicago, IL. As a TA Specialist at Barry Callebaut, you will be responsible for sourcing, attracting, and hiring top talent for our diverse organization, supporting our corporate functions, sales and manufacturing departments. You'll play a crucial role in building strong talent pipelines and ensuring a positive candidate experience, while upholding Barry Callebaut's values of customer focus, passion, entrepreneurship, team spirit, and integrity. Job Responsibilities Include:
• Partner with hiring managers to understand staffing needs, create detailed job descriptions, and develop effective recruitment strategies for both manufacturing (non-union) and corporate/commercial roles.
• Utilize various sourcing channels, including online job boards, social media, professional networks, and employee referrals, to identify and attract qualified candidates.
• Screen resumes and applications, conduct initial phone/video interviews, and assess candidate qualifications for cultural and role fit.
• Coordinate and schedule interviews with hiring teams and provide regular updates on recruitment progress.
• Manage the recruitment process end-to-end, from job posting to offer negotiation and onboarding.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date candidate records in the HRIS (SuccessFactors)
• Build and maintain strong talent pipelines for current and future hiring needs.
• Develop and execute employer branding and recruitment marketing campaigns.
• Participate in job fairs, career events – trade schools, colleges - and other networking activities to promote the company and identify potential candidates.
• Stay up to date with industry trends, best practices in recruitment, and relevant employment laws and regulations.
• Analyze recruiting data and key hiring metrics to assess the effectiveness of recruitment strategies and recommend improvements.
About You
• Bachelor’s degree required - Human Resources, Business Administration preferred.
• Candidates should have at least 5 years of full cycle recruiting experience, including manufacturing (non-union) and corporate/commercial roles. Experience with ATS and HR databases is beneficial.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
• The ability to manage high requisition loads, maintain candidate experience, and handle confidential information is important.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and knowledge of employment laws and regulations are also necessary.
• The role requires the ability to work both independently and collaboratively, with occasional travel potentially required.

• Salary Range of $70,000 - $80,000, depending on factors such as experience and location, plus annual bonus and our comprehensive benefits package
