The Senior Supply Planner manages the network capacity between Barry Callebaut North American production facilities. They are also responsible for short and medium-term supply issues.  The Sr. Planner will work closely with sales, production plants, as well as key business stake holders using the overall network, to balance the demand and supply to best serve the customer. Additionally, the Senior Supply Planner will participate in key initiatives and projects to support continuous improvement.


Key responsibilities include: 



  • Main contact between Global Planning for Tactical Plan coordination and deployment for the NAFTA Region
  • Keep current on detailed knowledge of network capacity and capability and track updates and deployment to factories (Cocoa Based)
  • Maintain target service level KPI – weekly, monthly, and year-to-date analysis and reporting for management
  • Primary central supply contact for all product categories, attend weekly meetings, manage inventory, and monitor new product introductions
  • Coordinate the communication between different planning layers in the regional supply chain scope using KPIs and specific meetings
  • Work closely with Sales, R&D, and Operations on product launches, changes, and new developing projects
  • Coordinate development of new customer-product combinations for well coordination with tactical and mid-term plans
  • Coordinate development of new suppliers with Sourcing to keep health Supply Chain network
  • Support the annual budgeting activities specifically related production planning, shift regime recommendations, and production line utilization
  • Provide necessary reports and updates for the monthly Sales and Operations Planning meetings
  • Maintain reports and KPIs that support the S&D discussions and follow up on Demand Shaping Exercises
  • Hold weekly review with assigned production sites to discuss production schedules and raw material concerns
  • Work with Long Term Capacity and the Demand Planning team on demand changes, supply issues, and open capacity available for sale
  • Participate in monthly capacity calls with production plants, responsible for reviewing attainment to plan KPI for molding lines
  • Key project resource in supply chain, to support continuous improvement initiatives and overall company goals
  • Responsible for leading minor short- term ad hoc projects within the supply planning team
  • Work towards Continuous Improvement in the Cocoa Supply Chain Planning – coordinating creation of Supply Chain standard practices aligned with Barry Callebaut Planning practices as also initiatives to support improvement of current practices



About you:



  • Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Finance, Economics, or Engineering
  • 3+ years of experience in a Supply Chain and/or Operations function in a manufacturing environment
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Project management experience
  • Ability to learn new systems and processes quickly
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel
  • Previous experience with SAP, OMP, and Business Objects preferred
  • Previous experience with Continuous Improvement is a differential
