About the role:

This role is the guardian and key architect who builds and executes the strategy, Unique Selling Propositions (USPs), and communications to amplify and activate the Mona Lisa, American Almond, and Gertrude Hawk Brands in the Region. You will work closely with the Global Marketing teams to shape and execute the portfolio strategy, set segment priorities, create promotional activities and sales tools, and define how customers and chefs experience the brands across all major touch points. Importantly, you will lead and develop a team of 1-2 and ensure Gourmet Sales is presented with a clear, simple, multi-brand marketing plan for execution in the market.

 

Key responsibilities:

  • Develop a comprehensive and in-depth understanding of the categories, market landscape, end-user segments, usage, and applications
  • Create and amplify compelling USPs – informed by chef and customer insights – for each of the brands in the region
  • Develop and deploy the innovation and activation roadmap for the brands (12QRP)
  • Translate USPs into exceptional communication assets and activation campaigns to be implemented online and offline
  • Define the respective product, pricing, and margin architecture for each brand. Ensure discipline in the execution of the mix across segments
  • Recruit, develop, and lead the gourmet marketing team, including individual Brand Leads and Market Segment Builders
  • Maintain a close connection with the gourmet sales team. Leverage supporting resources including Culinary, Digital, Trade, and Communications
  • Meet annual and mid-term growth and profitability objectives. Create and manage annual operating budget

 

About you:

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • MBA preferred

 

Experience:

  • At least 10 years of experience in professional Brand and Marketing Management in Food, CPG, B2B, and trade and distribution markets
  • Innovation, portfolio design, and category development experience
  • Foodservice sales experience a plus. Distribution and end-user preferred
  • A track record of successful brand activation and amplification (i.e., programs and campaigns to drive awareness, usage, and trade-up to value-added solutions)
  • Successful end-to-end innovation and renovation project leadership
  • Development and deployment of highly impactful sales tools and support, including distributor reselling
